Damnit I would like to own a Duesenberg some day. Really really hits the spot for me aesthetically.
Sounds like Lee finally got a couple in him! 😂😂😂 it isnt NAMM without a buzzed Lee Anderton! Enjoy yourself man!
Love the Duesenberg stuff! Got my Caribou last year and it's one of the best guitars I have ever played. My friend got a Starplayer and they really are top notch. I've had a lot of high end guitars throughout they years, like Tom Anderson, Fano, Gibson's, Gretsch, Mayones, ESP Japan, PRS etc. and the Duesenberg can easily hang in there with the best.
And even though they look like guitars that normally would be fragile and something you'd need to fight a bit when playing, they are actually high performance guitars. The action from the factory was a lot lower than what I could get my Ibanez AZ Prestige to have, the trem stays in tune and everything works like it should. After over 20 years of playing guitar, I've never seen a guitar with better fretwork than the Caribou I got. They PLEK the frets, so they should be all like that. And no, they are not made in Korea..
And no, I don't work for them, haha!
Love these guitars. Used to think they were a bit soulless but after buying one I realise the quality and playability is stunning. Plus they Plek. All companies should Plek.
Loved the flicking through the catalogue, then saying all the guitar's were not new! Awesome
I played the Starplayer 25th anniversary Silver in a shop today. Fell in love with it. Will by soon.
Thank God it's 9000 not 25000 😁
Yep, now you can get two AND have change for a few beers.
glenn whitlock, HILARIOUS!
Google searched Duesenberg, and found video's of Danish Pete showing how to string them up. LOL'd!
Lee is my fuckin favourite hahha
I would love to own a Duesenberg Starplayer TV in Blue Sparkle.
314jrock I had the blue sparkle. It didn’t fit my hand comfortably. It might fit yours. But it was sterile as well. Sold it to a lady who bought it for her 14yr old. A $2600 guitar, that’s how much it was when I bought it. So she paid about $1999 and free shipping, no tax at the time. My first guitar was an unplayable acoustic. It was $75 and you could limbo under the action. Impossible to play. She got a deal because it was my first sale ever so I had to give her a very nice price. They do come plek’d so it was set up perfect.
@@abcdefghijklmnop7873 That's sad to hear.
I've had my blue sparkle Starplayer TV for about 5 years now. It's beautiful and an amazingly playable guitar. The Grand Vintage humbucker is one of the best sounding pickups Iv'e eve played. The Domino P 90 in the neck is a little dark for me but certainly usable. Without question, the Duesy trem is the best ever engineered. Supremely smooth and rarely goes out of tune. I have many high end guitars and my Duesy gets played regularly. The neck to me, is very similar in feel to my 72 Goldtop Les Paul, very comfortable, not Gibson 59 big, more 60s size. I have medium sized hands about an 8 glove size.
bluzzjazz my hands are normal size as well. Everyone’s hands are shaped different. It was hurting my thumb and also I prefer hot humbuckers. They’re were a few issues that I personally did not care for. I’m not keeping a very expensive guitar so I can look at it. They’re meant to be played. Although, I think a kid shouldn’t be playing a very expensive guitar. You work your way up unless you’re a prodigy.
314jrock yea it was a big pain to pack it back up. Insure it, carry it thru the city to ship it. Lost money. Not happening again. But it’s hard when there’s no more stores left. You risk buying online. The guy gave me 48 hrs to return it. Got it Friday. Called him Monday. He said oh weekends count. He’s gone. I can’t find his business anymore. The big guys probably put him out of business or he may be older now. Not sure.
1995 isn’t twenty-five years ag... oh shit!
Musta bin rit in Arabic, that catalogue. Back to front, n'all.
Ps. Is Lee pissed?
What happened to Chappers?
My poor old black Starplayer TV feels so plain now.
Captain said it looked like a baritone. Lol. I can never bond with how obnoxiously long the starplayer is
Poor Lee's voice sounds a bit horse, take care guys and enjoy NAMM.
Had 4 Starplayer tv ...sadly sold and will buy another one soon !!!!!!
guitars are only for looking at ... can someone plug in and play ? wtf ?
Irish Hootman
And hear the shitty audio quality because of the loud trade show noises? Not to mention that the sound it produces is also dependant on the mic (not optimal), room treatment (none) and the amp/pedals. This is to show new products, not a review.
Or if you simply want to hear guitar playing, then you're in luck. RUclips's got plenty of that.
The Echelon good point , that explains a lot of these namm show vids, id still like to hear one of the new ones, new split coil.
@@sk7143 Since Andertons sells Duesenbergs, they'll surely make a video playing the new products of the brand.
Put me down for one of the new star players in orange!
Einstein didn't kill himself.
who?
Your right, he didn't but Epstein did
Einstein is well and alive in Israel
SUGAR LIFE 😂
Neither did Isaac Kappy.
John Mayer uses a double cat, too. :)
If only they had a demo of the pickup.
Beautiful
Need one now!!!
Classy guitars.
I dream of owning a Doozie Starplayer.
Wew shucks... that's a fine gee tar!
The VW Beatle of the guitar world.
That Westlife joke went over his head! 🤣
Why does Lee always get blasted during NAMM?
Good business is done over a good drink.
Nathan… I hope Connor and River are doing good
Please don’t sing.........
ahhh that Korean made baby!! love Duesenbergs!
Are they just a Gretsch copy company with a little flair to “make it their own.” Or do they have a unique voice, please let me know. I have zero knowledge of these guitars. Look awesome though.
While there are some aesthetic similarities, there are many more differences. And they play & sound quite different. The Duesenberg pickups are a thing all on their own, and I've found their build quality to be among the best anywhere.
I think Duesy’s are either you love em or leave em...I’m in the leave em category
I'm yet to play one, however I am a fan of what I see, so much potential
