Hello, You are right. It is mein opinion, that it is simple solution if the lamp connect to the back window heating. Try connect the regeneration LED to the mirror heating. And you can decide which is easier.
Hello, I think it is not possible the White LED disassembly. It has a special glue. The whole side mirror disassembly is easy. Buy new one. I have one used light for sale. :-)

There should be a white led from the bottom. Is it possible to remove and clean it? Mine is all green from inside..
