- Travel video about destination Wieskirche in Germany.
Set in green fields and with a dark background of mountains in the solitude of Bavaria’s alpine countryside, is an exceptional building, Wies Church, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From its earliest days, for the faithful it has been a place of pilgrimage and divine worship. Outwardly, it is a modest building that understates both its spiritual and artistic importance but it now acts as a sacred magnet for millions of devout pilgrims.
In addition to architecture and furnishings, music is also a major element which makes its radiant space resound during festive services. According to recent discoveries, the construction of the pipe organ dates back to 1757 and is attributed to organ builder, Johann Georg Hörterich.
Outside, a modest structure that blends into the surrounding landscape. Inside, perfected Rococo in harmony with great theology, a famous pilgrimage site developed from a small field chapel and the Miracle Of Tears.

Incredible photography though and overall SO great - thank you!!! What a marvelous job you did bringing to everyone the glory of this church!! Thank you so much - incredibly well done!!!
Nice but please learn how to say the name of the church correctly - it's the only name in German you should know for this so it shouldn't be that big of an ask........
