So it seems I was wrong about what DLO was doing on the bench. He was eating fruit snacks not on his phone but still, my thoughts are the same.

Nuggets culture is exemplified by one sentence Malone repeated last season during the Bones hyland drama. And that is "leave your ego at the door"

IDK if the blame is on Darvin Ham here. As a Nuggets fan, I see a lot of situations where there is a visible lack of effort from the Lakers' players and to add to that, I feel that LBJ and AD are running this team way more than the coaches. That's a big no-no in my book. I'm from Europe and to just imagine a player could have more impact on the team than the coach is unthinkable. MVP players have been sent to the locker room at half time due to bad behavior or big ego. No one is above the club. That's what separates the Lakers and the Nuggets, LBJ plays for LBJ only, AD plays for AD mostly, and on the other side you have the best player in the world being ok with taking 5 shots as long as the team benefits from that. Every Nuggets player only wants to win and gives all their effort for the majority of the game. Lakers need a serious rebuild to get anywhere in the next 3-5 years.

Laker playbook v Denver....1st Q: run and gun....build fast lead. 2ndQ: flex and grin. 3rd: let lead slip away 4th: Huff and Puff. Post Game: give no credit to Denver and or Blame Refs. I'm so pissed off.....I thought the Lakers would win at least 1 game at home.

    Inevitable 😀
This round shows team game vs posers.
Postgame press conference after first 2 games showed who LAL players are. Their leisure attitude with arrogant behavior on questions...
DEN has team spirit and they play like friends locked on to win.
There was narrative in media how LAL played bad and dropped 2 games with big lead (or how DEN stole second game). Why cant they say as it is: DEN played whole game to win, and they are better team. I hope this can be finished in 4.
It cant be seen in this short game video but at one moment Jokić called his teammates and held small "war council" on the court. They were leading but no relaxation on their part, focus on the game (and not on a mobile phone like some).
PS: it's always a pleasure to watch the match review on this channel, keep up the good work

Genuinely, even going back to last season, it comes down to the fact that the nuggets just want it more. transitions, boards, adjustments, and clutch time plays; the team that refuses to lose will beat the team that wants to win.

I feel you - I’m not quick to always blame or say for the coach and a young coach deserves a chance to grow into the role but I feel like Ham is way too casual about … EVERYTHING! He comes across as the coolest guy at work who gets promoted bc he’s likable but don’t know what he’s doing. He did somewhat better last night with calling timeouts and trying to manage the game (which is kind of impossible with LePouter undermining his authority and influence with the team), but he communicates during and after the games that he really don’t know what to do!
And you and others pointed to the most important thing - fans around the league shouldn’t be _outcoaching_ the HC by calling out the complete lack of fundamentals and discipline!
And to be fair, the Nuggets are REALLY sloppy at times, but Coach Malone is constantly reminding them to lock into the fundamentals and building, what he called in their NBA documentary, “championship habits”! Like you said, the Lakers aren’t showing that, but even scarier is that Ham doesn’t seem to see that! Oh dear 🫣

D-Lo is a scapegoat in the most toxic work place I’ve seen televised. Lakers were literally not built to compete with the Nuggets and D-Lo never really stood a chance of being the key to victory - bro probably can’t even see the hoop with all them big ahh Mile High giants in his visual path!
All that pressure should’ve never been put on him- he’s not a future HOFer, multiple x All-Star, All NBA, NBA top 75! All the Lakers role players was set up for failure versus the Nuggs and the front office knew that after going 0-5 last season!
As a Nuggets fan, I’ve been seeing it and politely screaming it all season. As the saying goes, 💩 runs downhill but the Lakers problems are at the top!
I just hate to see the mainstream media putting all blame on the little guys when I know these athletes are putting their hearts and souls into wanting to succeed for themselves and their teams but set up for failure by well-connected casuals who should NOT be running their teams.
Please look past the narratives that we’re being sold and look to the root of the matters, fam. D-scapegoat could never save this team in this matchup and he just broke under the pressure 💔

My son and I were watching the first quarter and that initial 8-0 run, and the announcers were screaming…and I realized that I was just thinking “Um…(pops cheek with index finger and spins it in circles in old guy whoop-de-doo gesture)” Against the Nuggets, early runs are meaningless because they ROUTINELY come back from double-digits. And with the Lakers, early runs are meaningless because they don’t have staying power. When Gordon got his second foul and Jolie already had two I actually told my son, “You know, if the Nuggets get in foul trouble the Lakers might actually win.” At that time the Lakers had been multiple possessions ahead for the entire game and yet it was the first point at which I thought there was actually hope for them. How are Lakers fans supposed to trust them?

    Aaron Gordon was Lebron’s man.
If the league didn’t allow Bron to travel, elbow defenders on bulldozer drives, and bail him out all season long with phantom fouls Lebron would average 9 points a game all from 3s.
I hate highlights because when you watch the games you see all the trash Lebron’s stat padding does for the team.
You can’t rest on defense in the playoffs. Like he did all season.
Every point Lebron scores gets erased on the other end. I didn’t even mention the untimely turnovers. No box outs on defense and he allowed back door after back door scores.
Why do ppl glaze for Bron so much? Do they not watch the games? Watch the games and it’s obvious he’s not him.
Notice how Jokic never takes away shine from his teammates. Can’t say the same about Lebron with his teammates. Always somebody else’s fault.
I appreciate you speaking on LBJ’s lack of defense.

I think Lebron has been really bad in his defense this series. Especially in backside help situations, losing his man so many times and leaving Nuggets players shots open near the rim after walking away from his man. I think the coaching staff and Lebron talked about how Jokic feasted on them one-on-one near the basket all last series and to give extra help when he has the ball on one side of the post, even when Murray has it in the post too.

I agree but like I mentioned when you're a coach, it comes down to the principles you set for your team. It starts with the coach. It's a reason he doesn't have "power" and it's his fault.. You have to set the tone early on and maintain it, that's where I won't give him slack

You can't have culture when you rotate 90% of your cast and coaching staff every two years. And i know i will get called a Lebron hater but these are things i firmly believe in: he has never showed loyalty to any team so it's hard for me to believe that with the Lakers it is something different all of a sudden. I get your frustration of D'Lo, but was not it Lebron who publicly displayed this kind of attitude in multiple occasions? And when you watch you leader behave in certain ways you start to pick up on them. I will go even further that Lebron is the one who spread the "constant arguing with the refs culture" in LA, complaining and not being held accountable for anything. This was never a part of Kareem, Magic, Kobe, Shaq Lakers team but here we are. IMO there is rarely any team culture nowadays, only a bunch of mercs put together trying to get a ice salary and if possible form a superteam to fight for a chip. And that's one of the major factors that separate the current Nuggets team, and the dynasties of past years from the last 6 years Lakers and most of the other teams in the NBA today.

Bro - LeBum is the weakest link.
Personally I think he's overpaid/ hyped up fraud - who whines and complains - takes no ownership and is the captain. He calls the shots not the coach. It all falls on him. PERIOD.
Q1. Do you think the Laker players respect LeBum?
Q2. If they get swept again - is LeBum in top 10?
Q3. What are your thoughts on the Nuggets? Are they a dynasty team?
    Thanks brother - from Australia.

      1. I think they respect him because of who he is for sure and what brings to the game
      2. I think even if they get swept I think people will take the age stance and saying how bad everyone else was
      3. I love the Nuggets and everything they bring to the game.. Idk if they're a dynasty team, but I think if they manage to win two more within the next 3-4 years then yes I would say so

There are basketball principles; and then there are human values - like telling the truth, accepting responsibility, holding yourself accountable for mistakes, work ethic, honoring your opponents even in defeat, not gloating/goating after winning, and so forth. Playing "star" basketball for many years apparently does not result in the development of outstanding, mature human values. Quite the opposite.
