I think the most impressive thing about the Kingdom games is that they run off of exactly four buttons. Left, right, down, and Shift. Very simple design, very simple controls, and _massively_ complex gameplay as a result. All the complexity comes from how everything affects everything else. Atari games used more buttons and were simpler than this. The closest thing was my mother's favorite game when I was a kid, _Keystone Kapers,_ and it's nowhere near this involved.
It's kind of amazing to think about when you're old enough to remember the early days of video games to see how far we've come, especially with a game that _looks_ retro.

I think the bonfire allow your ship to not crash? I dont really remember much

The bonfire gives a 50% (iirc) chance that the ship doesn't crash when traveling to that island, while the lighthouse (or Hellenic equivalent) makes it a 90% chance (iirc).

I tried out kingdom's 80's and i'm happy to see that they seemed to have implemented the attack function from kingdom 80's to the new dlc here
I wish they'd include cavalry similar to the crew you have in kingdom 80's perhaps an escort unit that has a regenerating shield

I've never heard Pravus be patronising but his comment on how easy this game is for his wife to enjoy while just challenging enough so he has something to do took me by surprise. Though I know he did not mean it that way and Pravus is such a loving and devoted husband, it was just a humorous moment for me. xxx
