UK here. Our pavements/sidewalks are about 8ft wide. I use a mobility scooter and I'm fighting a constant battle with drivers who park on the pavement obstructing my right of way. I film them all and send it to police and city council. So far two cars that habitually park on pavements near my home have stopped doing it after my exposure of them.
It continues like : "than she would be grandpa" :) Means that if that particular thing would be changed than it would have been a completely different situation :)
@@unclealbert3118 The reason why it's not a parking lot is because there is no official parking lot sign. If you look at the city cadastre, I have complete confidence that the sidewalk is designated as a sidewalk, it is not sanctioned as a parking lot.

I think the infrastructure needs an overhaul. Much as i hate to see assholes driving on sidewalks, I can't help but feel a little sorry for drivers when there's no designated parking, clear signage, and 'sidewalks' that are 3 lanes wide. It's a mess.

Those were often drawn by the owners who do usually know or find out that it's not a parking lot but often end up ignoring it due to lack of punishment for making false parking lots. Car owners grew in size in recent years. The issues is the fact that there are too many stores and it's a huge city. People are too lazy to park and then walk 5-10 minutes. Store owners dont see it as their problem.

@SADB I would suggest rather sticking those stickers on the bonnet. Obstructing the windscreen is a safety hazard, especially since you want them to drive off of the sidewalk.
You keep finding good locations, there was huge amount of drivers thinking its parking lot. Nobody is ticketing or taking care of it.... does anything change?.... maybe not today. So the content KEEPS ON COMING!! :D
Suggestion: Stand in front of the car with a low value bicycle, let the aggressive offender hit a bicycle, or run over a bicycle. Insurance should not cover running over a bicycle on a sidewalk. Keep up the good work, and stay safe!
The best argument I've heard SADB say, so far, to somebody who says "Show me the sign that says it's a sidewalk" is "Report me to the police for blocking the traffic on a road." That was a gotcha.
