if Andromeda is 2,20,000 light years across then how at 99.99% of light speed, will it take only 3100 years to cross it? A light year is the distance which light covers in one year
2 lakh light years is according to another person which is on earth. but you are in the spacecraft which is ongoing the speed of light, then according to time dilation its only 3000 years ..( in your point of view).

Time dilation doesn't take place on it's own, it rather takes place near a massive object with extreme gravitational fields so whatever he said in this video is almost wrong regarding traveling speeds and completing journey etc.

Light years mean a Photon particles travel a total distance in one year. Diameter of Milky way galaxy is 1 lakhs to 2 lakhs light years, if we assume galaxy dia is 1 lakhs light years and we travel as a Speed of light and then time required 1 lakhs years for travel one point to other points of Milky way galaxy.
So why he says that if we travel with same speed of light we can cross milkyway in our lifetime.

कोई भी object अगर light कि speed से space मे move करता है तो time slow होता है.. मगर कोई भी object light कि speed से move नही कर सकता ये possible नही... मगर light के speed के 70...80 persent future मे ऍडव्हान्स techonology आणे पर travel कर सकता है. अगर कोई light के speed के आस पास 100 साल तकspace travel करे तो उसकी age 5.. साल हि बढेगी..और earth पर 100 साल गुजर जायेंगे... इसे time dialation कहते है.
