my biggest issue I had while playing D.o.K was my timing on when to have morathi shift into snake form... this is a game changer for me, I love mortahis intelligent ambition, make sme really glad I chose this as my first (and so far only) army for AoS.
I only read some summaries of this book, but it sounds so good. Also very happy to hear what my favourite AoS youtuber thinks about it! I so wish I could get it
It would be cool if the Daughters of Khaine got some kind of Iron Maiden-based (the torture device) war machine or something. Would fit their aesthetic.

This was a great review! But I don't get the issue with the army size. Like this is a campaign book, its meant to be about huge armies fighting. It would lose some of the impact and be unfaithful to the narrative if the army sizes were like: Morathi takes over an entire city with 5 squads, while fighting 4 units of stormcast.

So the agenda of Kardron Overlords is to make money and keep the skys clear I bet book three of Morathi series, KO coming in hot already getting a Christmas model hold on tight the armarda is flying high to a shop near you :).
Nah the stormcast army is easy £60 covers the veritent and gryphound 1 sacrosanct unit 1 standard Start collecting stormcast gives you 4.5 units for £50 Csn squeeze it out for under £150
Must admit... I was far more interested in DoK and didn’t really even look yet at the idoneth stuff. But I’m guessing they came out pretty well in this book
Kinda funny how they have Morathi ally up with the old elements of the Dark Elves in the Scourge and the Anvilgard Elves. Almost as if they recognize that the fractured army lists are just too narrow and artificial.
Well thats always really happened. Chaos always fights among itself. Destruction is always fighting itself. And their have been minor wars and skirmishes between the various factions in Order all the time (Sylvaneth and Greywater. Lumineth or deepkin turning on allies, Daughters of Khaine have had many minor wars with allies over disagreements). I think its more they are presenting as the heart of a narrative here. They'll probably re-ally down the road eventually. And Im not seeing the SP, DC or OS subfactions leaving Cities of Sigmar.
And technically they've already done "stormcast heresy" in AOS. There have been captured SC souls that have been twisted by other powers. Perfect example in the novel Soul Wars a Lord castellant's soul was captured and converted into a knight of shrouds and attacked his old city. So I doubt we will be seeing "Chaos Stormcast".

Yes, I find ironically the army can be a little slow and relies maybe to much on synergy with a few key units. Especially for any kind of durability.
I think the biggest thing that happened in the narrative is that Slaanesh is reborn and now Archaon will have all 4 god's on his side at full power
