Fella admitting to the police officer that he did in fact throw the can and then asking if there's any evidence was crazy, he literally just gave them the evidence 😂
I know man, Bruce Rivers would be ashamed.
He was a perfect example of why you keep your mouth shut until you see a solicitor, especially when under caution.
@@spokes82 even honest people should not speak to the police unless advised to do so by a solicitor - they aren't your friend and won't give you a pat on the head for honesty, they will try to convict you for any menial crime to try to advance their career

Never speak to police. As they say they will use it against you
Omg, I saw this episode years ago! PC Tracey's frustration about people not wearing their seatbelts really got to me back then, and it still does now.
'My patience has worn thin over the years for people who don't wear seatbelts. You just get so fed upof dealing with the consequences, the aftermath, and it's just so avoidable. It's a two second click.'
Yes, the "freedom" attitude re not wearing seatbelts is just as sensible as people acting like wearing a Mask in a crowded place for, say, Covid, is going to hurt them.
First world problems, and far too much whining over nothing.
Clunk Click Every Trip!!!
I'm grateful to my parents for teaching me to wear a seatbelt ever since I was very young. When I get into a car I put my seatbelt on straight away without even thinking about it.
@@bailey125 Same here, I can not understand people who don't!
Ive been driving a long time and not long after passing my test some dude from my estate was driving a mk1 vauxhall astra gte was having argument with his gf in car and must have been doing 80-90 mph down hill with no belt on lost control, hit a lampost and the police found him in the garden 6 houses away which was about 200 feet.
He could have easily hit someone else head on 😞

I feel 'naked' if I don't have my seatbelt on.
I sim race on iracing quite a lot using VR and even feel weirdly unsecure sitting in my rig without a belt.
I end up reaching for my non existent belt surprisingly often!
Same, especially when I am driving naked
16:47 that last comment by the driver says it all, if I was that police officer I’d have changed the ticket to a fine instead of the free course.
I’d have changed it after he started going on about getting doughnuts.
Police don’t set policy they simply implement what our ridiculous stupid MPs determine is an appropriate offence
Generally, the drivers only get one chance at doing that free course as an alternative, and what they don't show on this program is that the police check the person's record. If they've already been on the driving course, they get fined instead since the course obviously didn't work.
so would I
What a shambles that no charges were brought against the two female shoplifters :|
Agreed. they're probably still doing it now. How much more evidence is needed? Brand new clothes on hangers, pliers for removing tags, a stack of new Next carrier bags. and no receipts for the clothes...Plus, one of them was on camera telling her mate to say it was just washing. It's unbelievable they didn't get charged.
@@CB-xr1eg I know, it's a fucking joke! Boils my piss.

You dont have 2 suspects talking to each other - the officer did not have control of the situation even though he did get evidence.
At least we know what they look like!
Funny how there’s nearly no SUVs in this, they’ve taken over the road in just 13 years
They should be banned

The guy throwing things out of the window of his car in the 'altercation' with the A6 - Proper 'evil behind the eyes' in the shot where they show him sitting in the car. He's not as nice innocent man as he first appears I'm fairly sure of it.
Nope, It was definitely the Audi driver at fault. It is always an Audi.
I 100% agree with you. He really did have an evil eye sitting in the cops car 😮 he looked so harmless when they first stopped him. I doubt if it's the first time he's created road rage with other drivers
If he was undertaken by the audi at speed then I suspect he was middle lane hogging
Makes no difference whatsoever if he was hogging the centre lane, the outside lane is the passing lane, 'undertaking' is called that for good reason, it's stupid and incredibly dangerous.@@tosspot1305
@@awalshblue
Listen to the perpetrators first words: Audi 'Overtook him on the inside', that's how he himself says it started.
Well that's our culprit then: It's physically impossible to undertake someone unless they are agressively lanehogging, if that occurs AT ALL, someone was driving like a complete spanner. Ford driver needs to have his license put down the paper shredder.
60 Pounds for not wearing a seat belt? Here in Australia its $362 plus 3 demerit points. If anyone else in the vehicle is also not wearing a seat belt the driver is fined that amount as well for each one. A second offence within 5 years, the fine is $980 and 9 demerits.
This episode is a few years ago, and I think that they've upped it over here now

$980 what the fuck 😂
@@adammoorby99 The fine is up to but a fixed penalty notice is still 60, a fine is what is imposed if, and only if, the court finds you guilty and passes sentence.
I think we should start getting to pay £200 or more they might think twice and do what they do in Australia and fine for everyone in the car that's not. Then this money can go on to fixing the road's.

should be personal choice weather or not to wear a seat belt just another revenue generator for cops
@@jays106 are you dumb? They're legal so the cops don't have to go home to your family and explain why you won't be coming home for tea that night. Plus you mustn't value your own safety either since you'd rather be launched out of your windscreen than spend 2 seconds doing your seat belt.
The £30 fine being doubled to £60 certainly dates this series. £200 plus 6 points is the going rated these days !
No penalty points actually.
£200 is cheap as chips, here it’s $1161 and 4 points for not wearing a seatbelt properly.
No further action, no further action, no further action - why do they bother?
Beggars belief doesn't it?
no wonder they can't recruit more officers
Just before covid, my wife was unpacking our car late in the evening, and found herself confronted by a well-known young thug who proceed to punch her in an attempt to steal the car. I waded in with the business end of my walking stick (we're both in our 70s) and the lad took off. Police arrived 25 minutes later (from, we later discovered, half a mile away!) and attempted to arrest my son, who had REPORTED the incident. And who seemed interested only in my possibly 'excessive' use of my walking stick!
Police - eventually - chased down the offender, who pleaded guilty to 20 thefts and a half dozen assaults THAT SAME DAY - two of the assaults very serious.
He swaggered from the court - smirking - with a 3 month community service order. Which we were assured was nothing to do with his father's membership of a certain mutual organisation - a membership shared with local police and judiciary.
I mean - what's the f***ing point any more?
It’s all about saving money. They haven’t built enough prisons over decades
@@jackywhite880 Sorry to hear that story - must have been quite traumatising.
I'm afraid it's a stark reminder of the times we live in. It's almost as if the police are still programmed to do their job, except they aren't prepared to do the legwork. Arrive at the scene of a crime, perps are long gone - so can we arrest anyone for anything still at the scene & close at hand? Bonus!
Best regards to you & your family.
This show should be called No Further Action.
I mean the whole into was explaining how they have issues getting good enough evidence.
'Possibly a fixed penalty notice'
Why do we have police doing their jobs when the CPS let these criminals off???

I don't understand why people just think it's the law to wear a seat belt. The belts are there to save lives. When I get in a car, and it doesn't matter which seat I'm in I put the belt on.
Back in the 1960s before they were fitted, I was the rear passenger in a Humber car that skidded on a bend, the car spun and rolled several times. I ended up sat on the front passenger's lap, luckily the car was a tank and we escaped with just bumps and bruises.
I bought a MG Magnette and while giving the interior a good clean found mountings in the door post and under the seat for belts. I bought a pair for the front seats. This was 1963/4
Most of the time. Someone hit a brick wall and driver was thrown out and the engine in the driver seat would have taken out his legs.
Sadly, there's no safety system capable of protecting people in vehicles from injury in every circumstance.@@freedomisfromtruth
Back then, seat belt mountings were required by law, the belts were an optional extra!
My parents' car in the 1980s didn't come with rear seatbelts, they got something like a four-point harness fitted for us kids (I remember them, the webbing straps were tomato red!) which were way ahead of the requirements of the time. The very first thing I do when I get in a car is put my seatbelt on, I don't even think about it.
@Teverell yes, earlier cars didn't rear seat seatbelts. My parents also had four-point seatbelts fitted. I think they were safer for children. As I got older, I hated them as they were more constrictive than the three point belts.
I love the fact that the thief is covering her face walking into the station as if she didn't have full on photoshoot with the camera crew before lmao

CPS Failed to convict someone smashing into another vehicle that could have been fatal. What a joke!!!!
Because the evidence showed a brake failure was a plausible explanation...

I find it disgusting that the CPS wouldnt take the BMW driver who crashed into a stopped vehicle at speeds in excess of 40mph as it was clear she was not paying attention to the road, the police always say in this and other tv shows the best proof is CCTV, they had that woman dead to rights clearly not braking before the impact ( as the video shows are brake lights only came on after she had hit the other car ).
Its no wonder this country has so much crime, when clear cut cases like that one are not prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

It's very frustrating that. Even if the police do stop people correctly, Nobody ever gets penalized for their crime. And not just simply getting away with a Fee. But with actual prison time even if it's only for a short Amount of time. But that may be because our prisons are full and our government don't seem to want to build more facilities or make use of unused buildings and turn them into the necessary detention centers and prisons and rehabilitation centres that we need.
I cant believe there is a CHOICE of punishment for not wearing the seatbelt.

£60 for not wearing a seatbelt? That's about $90 Canadian. In Ontario the penalty is a fine between $200 and $1,000 plus 2 points on your license. The more offences on your record, the higher the fine. I can pinpoint exactly when i started wearing a seatbelt. 27 July, 1972, roughly 3 in the afternoon. That was the day my mother took possession on her new Dodge Dart, our first car with seatbelts in the back and a seatbelt warning buzzer for the driver and right passenger. Ma's edict was "If I have to wear my seatbelt, everyone does." We wore our seatbelts.
A 1972 dodge dart? Damn bro that's one fine automobile. Respect.
It can be up to £500 these days.
OMG having worked in Retail all of my working life, I bloody hate shoplifters, I never knew they were this organised, makes me sick 🤔
The so called lack of evidence, especially against the shoplifters is ridiculous. It's not surprising that shoplifting is on the rise when our legal system is so weak.

The fine for no seatbelt in Queensland Australia is $1161
drivers reasonable for anyone what is 16 or under but over that age it the person not wearing one gets the fine. ive transported my mate and her kids about and they did not want belt on but hot day 3 door they trapped in back, i said belts on or we wait all day, so they soon gave in and guess what i had to take them home as i was at event they were at but mother was at home (her ex got married ) so i took them back and they learned from last time they good as gold even before i asked them to put belt on they already done it. but over 16 they get the fine, but id never allow anyone behind me without belt if they refuse they are walking but goes for everyone as when i mention put belt on person behind everyone else puts belts on. have rules in my car, that even down to no eating or things what can make a mess, at the end day i do not ask for fuel money esp for mates so very least they can do is respect my car and also belt up

Here in California, we don't have tollbooths anymore. Instead, if you're going to be traveling frequently on the toll roads -- and we only have two or three of them -- you get what's called a --oh, crap, brain fart; starts with Trans, can't remember what the rest of it is. Anyway, it's a transponder, and when you pass under a transponder antenna, you hear a beep, and your toll is paid. You have to reload them as needed like a reloadable debit card, but it prevents accidents like the one here.
There are very few toll roads in the UK so asking everyone to buy a transponder is probably not reasonable. The M6 toll is not a heavily used road (at least when I have used it), there are plenty of other options for locals to use and if you are not in a rush then the M6 proper is free and is good enough most of the time.
In the US there seem to be significantly antly more toll roads, especially around the DC area, so keeping traffic flowing smoothly is probably a biger consideration. They have automated toll booths in many countries but you still have to pass through a barrier across the toll booth.
I like the transponder system and if we had more toll booths in the UK then it would be a more efficient system to use in my opinion. 🎉.
Australia has that transponder thingy too...sure makes life easier- and driving.
What an antiquated system. I use the two road tunnels under the river Mersey which have tolls. I have an online account. You fill in online your number plate details (licence plate) which remains the same as long as the car exists. You pay as much credit as you want (minimum £10). As you pass the tunnel entrance pay booth a camera reads your plate and the correct amount is debited from your account. The arm flies up and lets you through.
Synopsis: "literally everyone got away with everything."
Crime doesn't pay. Unless you're in the UK
Good eyes officer, good on you sir for seeing that plate.
41:49 if you slow the video down and zoom in it actually looks like the brake lights were on as she comes onto the screen, go off, come on briefly just before she gets to the trees and go off again, then Blink on for a fraction of a second literally just before she hit the parked car.
At this time of year the low sun in the sky can play real havoc with the ability to see as well as we would like as drivers.
And therefore it's not uncommon for a lot of minor accidents with stationary vehicles.
I can remember a cousin of mine accidentally hitting a parked vehicle in the January one year.
There is a "duty of care" to not hit third parties. If you can not see, for any reason, do not proceed beyond a speed in which you can stop. People don't implement "risk management". The Sun is exceptionally low at this time of year (November). People need to slow down, think.
