And the biggest tip for this tool, only use 2" pads don't go to 3" otherwise it will keep turning off, because of the thermal overload protection, also on the collet you need to untighten it twice to get the shaft to come out easily..... Great video, I am slowly replacing all my mobile airtools with milwaukee cordless they are awesome tools.
If you're liking the 3M rolocs you should look into the brand Tyrolit. I used to sell the 3M but over last few years all my customer have switched over to Tyrolit and won't look back. Much longer lasting, the sand pads have a thicker backing plate so you can really get a good lean on them without bending or breaking. The grinding and cutting disks are very well made as well. Price wise they are a fraction of 3m and Walter.
I have had one for a almost a year and it is the handiest tool I have ever purchased! No more firing up the air compressor and no more air hose to get in way is also another plus.
I think it's just intended for you to briefly see it and store it in your memory. No need for it to be permanent as you will develop a feel for the setting that you need anyway.
its not that hard to remember 10, 15, 20 and 25 for 1, 2, 3, and 4. its really a non issue. The sticker is there so you can quick reference right upon opening the box and saves you a trip to the user manual to find out that info. If you need this tool ....you should be able to remember that very simple info. The sticker lets you get right to work, with the info you need without having to read through a manual to find that info.
I've seen this a few times in other videos, I have not bought one myself; however I plan to in the near future. Many people in the other videos highly recommended getting this bit to go with because it removes things like gasket material of all kinds with extreme ease... 3M-18733 Roloc Bristle Disc Grade - 120, Size - 2 inch... I've seen it on Amazon and eBay as well.
I have one. Love it ! Mostly use flap wheels for cleaning up metal, deburing. Use the smaller diameter disc’s. 2” discs create too much load, & overload protection will shut off the tool. Jag 10 tools, is where I buy my flap wheels.
You are very fortunate, between me and guys at work we have 12 of them and evey single one cuts out during light and heavy use. We have tried high capacity batteries and even on light work they cut out. I think we got a bad batch but ive seen other videos and they seem to work like they should. As long as yours doesnt cut out then i agree it should be one of the best tools in the arsenal. Good luck w yours and hope you get a good one.
A problem I've encountered with Milwaukee paddle switches, is that it is necessary to remove too many fingers to switch off (release),in an emergency situation. You cannot get off the trigger fast enough without releasing too much of your grip on the tool. The single finger trigger is much safer! This peaks with the Milwaukee 3/8" close quarter drill, which is probably the most dangerous tool that I own.
As an aircraft mechanic, I do a bunch of corrosion blending with a 90-degree pneumatic die grinder. The only issue is that we have limited air hose hookups, and the hoses are cumbersome to deal with. Your review just sold me on this tool, especially since I already have other m12 products.
Great tool. Home Depot Canada has them on sale for $199 and has a bonus charging starter kit with 2ah battery. You need the larger battery but it’s a start if just getting started on that platform
Donny another absolutely great review. I`m not a small engine repair guy but I have the m12 fuel hammer drill, impact driver, and the newer version of the multi-tool for my DIY projects. I bought the best because they are the tools that I would use the most and the 12V format is all that I need. For me, I don`t think I need a dedicated grinder but I do like how you polished those brake rotors on your African Twin.
Those Roloc™ pads are the shiz, the scouring pads which come in 3 or 4 colours which are different grades of coarseness. Great for carbon on piston crowns. Get a few pads they wear out. But you can buy AM rolocs too now, not as good as 3M but much cheaper.
I've burned through 1000's of roloc discs, they are fantastic, plenty of different types to choose from, an angled for grinder running rolocs is a very versatile tool
I couldnt find the M12 locally so I got the IR right angle die grinder, pnuematic of course. I really did want to try the M12 based on your review. Maybe I will buy 1 sometime later when my wife isnt looking lol thanks for the review
Update.. Well I got a new carb for the Kohler mower today. I feel like I made a ROOKIE mistake considering a person was on his way to buy it when it was running like crap!!! Anyway the problem was so simple once I saw the crankcase hose was disconnected. Connected hose and sold the mower 😊
Small correction about sales tax in Canada. The rate depends on which province you live in. In Ontario, it's 13% as stated in the video (combination of 5% Federal rate, plus 8% Provincial Rate). Alberta doesn't have a provincial tax, so they only pay the 5% Federal rate.
Don the OLD MAN at Eliminator just saying we use Milwaukee M12 brushless tools also and find they are one of the best. Originally bought the RIGID impact and drill 12V on their anniversary sale when they promoted LIFETIME warranty on everything including the batteries which i could not believe so could not pass it up. Registered the Rigid products on line and guess what? Eventually after 7 years the batteries would not take full charge, took all the Rigid tools and batteries with charger to the local shop for warranty and in two weeks received everything back with upgraded 18V batteries. Had to register these batteries on line again because they still carry the lifetime warranty. Now that is a serious deal, anyone else know where you can get lifetime warranties on batteries? Here is the big tip of the day: Take the time to register your equipment purchases! You would be surprised how much equipment we work on and our customer gives us their manual package with the equipment and we take the time to register it, in some cases the parts are at no cost to them because it is under warranty or recall part upgrade!
I didn't know they had flap disc's for the reloc I know I've used the pneumatic with the abrasive scotch Brite for touching up lawn mower blades as it really doesn't get hot enough to change tempering of sharpening etc
Thank you for the review that is a cool tool but the for price kind of a bummer they didn’t mold the RPM in the back of the switch instead of a dumb sticker that will fall off but it is a Cool tool 👍🏻
Should have shown how to use that unique collar lock. Can be frustrating until you figure out how it works. Loosen, then keep loosening until it unlocks the collar. Otherwise, it is very difficult to get the tool out of the arbor.
For working shorter time it’s great for me when I have a bunch of weld to clean up a bit on aluminum that where I find the battery doesn’t last long. To bad because it’s a nice light tool to work with now for long working time I use the air die grinder
I myself Donnie I use the Brewer from harbor freight but I have nothing against Milwaukee tools I absolutely love them myself but the thing of it is it's the cost All right talk to you later
Hi 👋Don nice review what a great 👍 looking tool thanks 🙏 for your input everything was very helpful and well said sir have a great 👍 weekend and a very happy 😃 Easter 😀😀
Don -- Is the entire Milwaukee FUEL line considered safer to use around fumes that could be explosive like gasoline , etc ? -- Being brushless , accordingly, would mean no sparks from the motors commutators -- IDK ?
@@donyboy73 That is an outrageous price. Hope you already had a charger. A palm size battery for a Worx Leaf blower is $100. My battery powered drills always are able to do 3/4 of the job. Back to corded for me. I understand that Milwaulkee tools are now made in China.
Hi I'm thinking of buying the same grinder. mainly for sharpening my rideon mower blades.Have you ever used that grinder to put a sharp edge on the blades .I find a 4inch grinding dick is way to big.

I have this tool and it blew me away ! Just love it !!! Great video as well
The rpm setting numbers should have been molded into the plastic. That would have saved plastic and saved on a sticker that will fall off.
Who cares
Yeah you are right. For me it look so cheap and big No, No. For that brand I am suprised to do that.
I think it's just intended for you to briefly see it and store it in your memory. No need for it to be permanent as you will develop a feel for the setting that you need anyway.
Just use a marker and write them on the back

I bought the straight die grinder thinking I’d use it more but now I’m wishing I got the angle first. Thanks!
great, now I need a Right Angle Die Grinder

Try cleaning the screens around the motor with some air. When the screens get clogged the motor gets hot and cuts out.
@illiniwood Appreciate it but we are talking all brand new units. Ive sent them back multiple times and only 1 has gotten a little better.
I bought Milwaukee m12 die grinder a few months ago and really like it I use it quite often.
Milwaukee tools are great, I love mine. The 5r warranty is great too! Thanks for the review!
Happy Easter 🐣🐇🙏🙏✌️
Same to you!
Nice review. Impacts, ratchets and carpentry tools are now all Milwaukee. If I got this, I’d only need the air compressor for... air.
I buy Milwaukee cordless tools for everything. Always have been reliable for me and durable. Good video!

That Milwaukee is awesome! Thanks Don!
What type of 3m pad is the blue one you used on your bike?
3m scotch brite
Great review. And I like the safety switch
Now that's a proper review!
Don, I have a 149cc Kohler with a carb that drips and when you tip it with the filter side up it leaks worse. Mower runs fine.
give the carb a good clean or replace it

I want one Don. I have a die grinder but it isn't cordless. It is air. Very nice tool.
For that kinda money, it should have a keyless chuck.

If you find the collet chuck getting stuck when removing the shank (I guarantee you will). I found a super easy way to release it.

Are you using the 2 inch or the 3 inch Roloc with this die grinder?
2"
hmm looks like it might be a great option for sharpening mower blades too. yay ?
Nice review.
Those rolocs are what I remove the sap off hedge trimmer blades after you disassemble them.
What about using it to sharpen lawn mower blades?
it could work but I would use an angle grinder first
Does anyone know find any grinding wheels that I can use with this grinder?.
Nice little tool thank you for sharing
Great tool I'm thinking can you use it to sharpen a lawn mower blade
What kind of wheel do you recommend for that??
I got mine for about 5 months use it a lot I like it but when you use continuously it’s a battery killer the 6 amp last maybe 10 minutes
most jobs i do are shorter, for the bigger stuff i use a corded die grinder
For working shorter time it’s great for me when I have a bunch of weld to clean up a bit on aluminum that where I find the battery doesn’t last long. To bad because it’s a nice light tool to work with now for long working time I use the air die grinder

hi donyboy can I put a 372 XTorq big bore kit in a 372XP

the Fuel version is for professional use as well and it has 5 years warranty
