Could someone answer a question for me about the autofocus video I just watch on the 77D. Rudy was talking about AF looking through the view finder. Next he said but when you are using the live view or shooting video you are then using the" Dual Pixel cmos AF System". Does that mean when looking through the viewfinder you're not using the Dual pixel CMOS autofocus system?? I am a little confused to what the difference is if there is any.
Hi Charles! This camera has two focusing systems. One works, when taking still photos with the viewfinder. The second system is the Dual Pixel CMOS AF. This system focuses using the actual image sensor and works when you are either in Live View or in Movie Recording mode.
