"fuck him up" is something i used to scream when i had friends and they were playing games. this guy named ryan hated it. one morning i go out to the living room and he's watching FMAB bloopers, which i'd never seen, so i lean against the wall and watch along. it gets to the part where hohenheim yells 'FUCK HIM UP' and he laughs so much and starts saying it along with me.
3:57 "Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog" (aka "Joy to the World") is a pretty classic song. Look it up. It was sung by a band called Three Dog Night.
4:33 Funny thing is, the actual line here in the English dub is already kind of funny: "We didn't come all this way just to pass up the chance to storm in there and pop a ventricle!"
4:46 This is a reference to _Homestar Runner,_ a Flash-based Web animation franchise. The dialogue is full of that kind of odd language, as part of the style. This in particular is a slightly modified line (originally, "Your head a splode") from the Strong Bad Email episode "Video Games". The line was deliberately strange sounding, as a hypothetical bad translation.

Q. There have been many romances shown in the shonen genre so far, and we saw some in fmab too. (whether its about winry and ed or other possibly implied ships) How did you feel about the mangaka writing these ships in the way it did in FMAB?

Hi, first of all I wanted to thank you very much for reacting to this anime. It's my favorite and, although I've seen some reactions, yours was by far the one I liked the most. Not only because of how cute your reactions were and watching it in sub, but also because of how smart you are. I remember in the first or second episode when you commented about making an army of people with alchemy and I was shocked. Throughout the series you were also theorizing things with a lot of sense and, although sometimes you failed (like everyone), many others you got it right, and I had a great time watching you.
Now I'm watching in your channel your reactions to AOT, and although I don't like it so much, an anime so complex and that gives so much theory, with you I'm sure it's even more enjoyable.
I also wanted to recommend you a couple of things. First of all and in relation to FMA, I don't know if you know that there are 4 OVAs that tell different stories. From Izumi's training at Briggs to how Roy and Hughes met. I don't know if you have access to that content or if you want to see it (I don't understand how the copyright issue works here) but if you want I can help you get it. The other thing was that I wanted to recommend you another wonderful anime that is in publication. It is Haikyuu. It's a real roller coaster of emotions and you'd have a great time. Also, just like FMA or Kimetsu, the characters are very charismatic.
I'd love for you to do a Q&A, so I'll leave you my question here. How do you think about the development of the female characters on this anime? Do you think it has something to do with the fact that the mangaka is a woman?

For more FMAB content, you should try to find the 4-Koma theater shorts. They're short one minute comedy scenes (one per episode). They're hilarious and contain some iconic humor
I love the fact that some of these are just goofy, and some of them we just go "Yeah that tracks"

For the QnA, After watching the show what does the "truth" mean to you? How would you describe truth(god,man in the white room) throughout this whole show. And for each and everyone of these characters and side characters in the show how would you interpret their "truth".
There’s also 4 OAVs ! Some of them are pretty neat , you should watch them too !
If you need more FMA content then you could watch the 2003 adaption. It has stuff in it that is shown in the manga but not in Brotherhood also for me and many others it shows the beginning of the show even better because they let you build a deeper relationship with some characters, tho I understand if you don't want to react to it because it would have 51 episodes again and at some point it differs from the manga material but for me it's still good after it and also has a great ending for my liking and has some banger openings aswell

watch the original full metal alchemist show. sadly it's over shadowed by brotherhood but i's still an excellent anime. the plot is different though and it delves deeper into side characters like Greed's squad and Yoki etc.

Are you aware of the OVAs and 4 Koma Theatres? These are sub only (afaik). The OVAs are (mostly) shorter stories, all of which take place before the start of the series and ad extra dimension to the characters and events in the show. The one about Teacher has an incredible after credits scene. The 4 Koma Theater (4 Panel Theater) are a series of short animations based on 4 panel comics Arakawa drew at the end of the volumes. These are comedy sketches, often flying in contradiction to the series, but are quite hilarious. They can be harder to find, but if you do watch them, you'll often see a cow wearing glasses, which is how Arakawa draws herself as a manga-self portrait (she grew up on a dairy farm). Even if you don't react to them, they are highly recommended (you've probably gotten at least one joke in the comments from a 4 Koma sketch, which probably made no sense).
The OVAs _and_ the 4-Koma Theater were all dubbed by Funi and (at least) included in their physical releases, so for those who want the dub, it's fully covered.

For me I usually choose dub unless there is none
But there is 3 very distinct much watch dubs that are better in nearly every way to the original
1 is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
2 is Cowboy Bebop ( the show didn't even finish airing in Japan and is now globally considered a classic because of its American release and dub)
And the other Is Fruits Basket 2019 to 2021 (season 1 to 3)

Well, if you know who the English VAs, it's not surprising 😂But here's a fun fact, there's actually 2 different English dubs. The one that is considered lost or rare is the Animax Asia dub. Ed had a more feminine voice and Alex went full German accent 🤣🤣🤣. But both dub versions have female VAs to voice Alphonse.

Just went and found some samples of it, courtesy of Anime Wasabi. Huh... It's certainly very different... Also, it's over-amplified quite noticeably; I hope that's AW's doing or whatever, and not how it sounded originally.

As someone who watches 99% subbed anime I feel like there are still some that are just universally watched in dub. Mainly dragonball z and FMA brotherhood. I'm always shocked when I see people watch it subbed. One of the only times I feel the original voice acting is not interesting at all.
Subbed and dubbed are pretty much equal to me in Brotherhood.
the dub is better in some comedy moments but i think the sub in fma is better overall especially with emotional scenes like Als sacrifice. the dub always kinda feels like a good yt comedy dub to me, which i do enjoy but the emotional scenes just never feel as emotional for me. to each their own ofc, i just never really got why so many watch fma in dub. for dbz i completely agree tho
@@misterboyo4785 yeah, there is definitely nothing comedic about the sad or serious moments in the dub at all. Stellar performances across the board. And yes "obviously to each their own" but that is pretty insane to suggest.
