so whats the best setting for cs2 ? and any recommend on how to setting the color, ty
impossible to see blur with a completely white screen. Good job Asus.
I bought it right away when it came out and i absolutely love it!!! Pricey but it works well with my 14900k and strix 4090. I’ll be keeping this until the 480hz oled drop. I am also running windows 10 so I’m capped at 500hz but that’s ok :))
Thanks for sharing, glad you're enjoying it!
so if i wanted the lowest amount of input lag and motion clarity id do normal?
I was quite surprised for it to output 96,2% of sRGB coverage for a TN panel. I was also blown away by the contrast ratio. From my experience, the TN had always the worst glow right behind the IPS and then the VA with the best black levels. However, is the 540Hz monitor really necessary? It should be put to a test by some pros, whether they feel any difference or not. 240Hz is usually the sweet spot. 360-390Hz is already the maximum I would ever go with.
Likewise I was pleasantly surprised. As for if it's necessary, depends how much you value total system latency and clarity. But I agree, for most 240hz will more than suffice, as mentioned in my verdict.
Some valorant pro tested it said it felt like he was cheating when using it

HI !! thanks for this review.
Whe you active ULMB 2 at 10 OS what is the Response time ?
Don't have a figure for that. Glad you enjoyed the review.
I dedicated to buy this monitor. Does ulmb 2 works below 300 fps ?
Great review, also i recently purchased the exact same monitor but from time to time it would black screen for about 1-2 seconds then go back to normal, did that even happen to you and if so what fix did you find?
Thanks! Nope I didn't have such issues.
Coud be NVIDIA G-Sync issue. Disable it and retest.
if im not mistaken, you will also be locked at 500 hz if you're using an amd graphics card. at the moment they cannot make use of ulmb2 and therefore you'll be stuck using the monitors native refresh rate of 500.
Think you're right, but can't confirm
@@TotallydubbedHD so i got the monitor yesterday. cant do much with my rx580, but ill check back in a month when i upgrade to the 7900xtx to confirm.
Best ulmb2 settings for cs2?
I play at 1080p and motion clarity is the number 1 priority for me even in single player games. This monitor doesn't seem to over any or noticeable advantage over XL2566K or XL2546k, does it? They do come in at almost half of the price.
Refresh rate also plays a big role, as mentioned in the video.
Would you say there's a big difference between 360hz and 540hz?
@@themetamind9305 I noticed a difference in fluidity between my 300hz and this 500hz, but it wasn't as noticeable as going from 144 to 240. Which in itself is hard for some people to notice.
As mentioned in the review, the biggest thing was the motion clarity.
@TotallydubbedHD appreciate your input and thanks for the review.
@@themetamind9305glad you enjoyed it!
The vidéo is nice made. I also have this monitor, and i m not very happy with the input lag. You said it is the fastest gaming Monitor you ve tested, but on the first slide you showed that many monitor are doing better than this one regarding the input lag. And i felt it , when i play on it i felt this input lag more higher that the Alien Dell 27 240hz i got. On the Alien the monitor feel more smooth with a very low input lag. I can react to thing that i can not on the Asus one. I think i will send it back. To be honest the grey to grey result are less important that the input lag.
1.1ms input lag is ridiculously low. As mentioned, the graph might throw you off, because it's got a scale from 0ms up to 1.1ms. All those tested monitors are phenomenal when it comes to input lag, no issues whatsoever for hardcore gaming.
Maybe what you're feeling is something else?
@@TotallydubbedHD tx for your answer. Maybe test the input lag at 540 HZ, mb it could be better . But the result you showed , even if it is close and nice 1.1 ms, don t make it the fastest monitor. In fact for ex the KTC 27P6, regarding the input lag is half better that the asus. like 0.50 ms or so . Ok it is not a big deal, but asus is not the fastest then.
@@ak3d1 one of the highest refresh rates, lowest response times, perfect motion clarity and excellent input lag = the fastest I've tested (250+ panels). If you wish to disagree, that's your provocative.
What is the asus like? I want to buy a 540hz one and I am between this Asus or the 540hz zowie, I currently have BenQ ZOWIE XL2566K 360hz and I always want the best although I know that even if I have the best I will be equally bad, but it is surprising when you have been playing at 360hz for a long time and you put it At 144hz you notice it lagging at 540hz I think that's the next level and getting those fps must be a pain.
Does it constantly stay at 540h? i play valorant an cs2
I returned mine because the poor quality of the coating really bothered me, the ulmb2 is excellent but the raw performance is sufficient but the bfi adds a slight input lag which has always bothered me, I expect a lot from it competition to make the most of this exceptional panel
Yup as mentioned, the coating is pretty aggressive! Glad you agree with me in terms of its performance.
Subjectively, didn't notice any extra input lag with ULMB 2.
Could you explain more about the finish? Is he fragile?
Dyac 2 increases input lag not ulmb2
ulmb 2 and any bfi technology causes input lag
@@athiz27 absolutely not without ulmb2 on Asus pg248p has 1.1ms input lag with ulmb2 on it still has only 1.1ms input but zowie xl2586x has 1.1ms input lag with dyac 2 off and has 2.3ms lag with dyac 2 on . Do some research before talking . bad seed tech tested pg248qp and zowie xl2586x
So what should the settings be for someone that owns a really high end pc and plays Valorant competitively? Also, I’ve been having a huge issue where if I put the monitor at 500hz I get black screens for like 1-2 secs very often ingame. Only fix I’ve found was to take it down to 360hz. Any idea what’s wrong? Would greatly appreciate it if someone responded and helped me with this. Thanks!
Settings shared in the video. If you're having black outs, it might be due to G-Sync or a fault somewhere. Good luck!
@@TotallydubbedHDI’m pretty bad with these stuff lol would you mind leaving a comment with the settings? Or was it just the normal mode? I know I have it on esports. Gsync doesn’t seem to be activated so I have no idea what’s causing the blackouts and can’t believe I have to settle for 360hz even though I paid all that money for 500hz at least
@@Feytal no idea what's causing your blackouts, maybe ask Asus for tech support?
@@FeytalI’m having the same problem. Have you figured out the best settings for valorant?
i bought it recently and really wanted to test it out in a 2D game (brawlhalla) since it performed so well in valorant however i have noticed that whenever 2d charachters move even a little bit, they become extremely blurry sort of when you record the ghosting test ufos running on high refresh rate using a low refresh rate camera, that kind of blur. and so i have tried to fix it with V-sync on/off uncapped frames and capped frames but nothing seems to work and i really wish to know what is causing it :/ otherwize im afraid i will have to return it
No idea, sorry.
@@TotallydubbedHD Hey its fine im posing the same question in other forums aswell, thank you for the video and still answering!
I honestly wished that there was a cheaper monitor with the same performance but also getting this won't even run 540hz properly other than like on roblox or minecraft lmao. For me most likely staying on 240hz or upgrading to something like 360 if possible.
Fair enough, thanks for sharing!
Need advice, i am saving my hard earned money for Alienware aw3423dwf but i wonder whats your opinion on it vs samsung odyssey g7.. they are very different in general but the aw is about 730£ and the samsung is just 400£ whats your opinion please?
Guess it depends what you're actually looking for?
Ill be playing games mostly on a 4070. I was after the samsung for 1440p cus 4070 isnt exactly flagship for 4k but all reviews on the aw are amazing and being oled sounds future proof dunno i just cant decide between the two and it looks like the aw is on big promotion it used to be almost 1000£

Do you think it’s worth it for my asus rog strix g16 i9 and rtx4070 laptop? Please answer❗️
Unlikely you'll push out 500hz consistently. But, best looking to GPU reviews for that. Bear in mind how you're connected too (covered in the video).
friend, tell me, is it better for me to take asus ulmb 2 540hz or zowie 540 hz? I don't know
Not tried the other, so can't comment
Asus i think
540Hz is cool and all, we should always aim to better it. However, at this time, the marginal improvements in motion clarity come at such a high cost, both in terms of price (Monitor + absurdly high-performance PC) and huge image quality compromises (TN, 1080p). It's really _really_ hard to justify for almost anyone... Also, those 480Hz 1440p OLEDs are just around the corner.
All good points!
I was just about to comment this. Not only the LG oled 1440p 480hz oleds but also that dual panel that’s 4k 240 and 1080p 480. Either of them would be better than this. Although they will likely be a few hundried dollars more.

Won't be happening!
is a ryzen 9 7900 12-core with a 4070 good enough?
Erm, sure?
Does HDR cause an increase of lag with this monitor?
Not that I noticed.
When zowie doing the price to the new 540hz i think the asus its a better buy
Asus one also has noticably less input lag and also better response time. The zowie 540hz averages out at even above 2ms response time and you ideally want to stay under 1,85ms for 540hz gaming to avoid any ghosting. You can definitely notice that due to the response time the Zowie one definitely has less motion clarity and more ghosting overall than the Asus and the Asus is way cheaper even tho still 900 bucks😂
You need max tuned ddr5 8000mhz ram ,14900k and a RTX 4090 to get most out of this monitor.
Haha, probably.
I have the exact set up you mentioned. I'll pick this up soon, maybe tomorrow. The new monitors announced yesterday look good as well. I'm not sure what to do.
Correct. These kind of pc builds will cost $5500-$7000++ usd. Even professional players would be hesitant to use such niche tech because of diminishing returns. A great player using a 1080 240hz monitor with good motion blur reduction will outperform the Giraffe Neck Streamer that cranks Gfuel On a $7000 pc with this $1000 540hz monitor 😂.
@@TheMostSavageOfAllGeese in my opinion zowie xl2546k is enough to go pro because of its has great motion clarity and response time . Bad players will always complain about their hardware 😂

@@TotallydubbedHD from a single vídeo about the 540hz one, it seems that colors and contrast are very improved as well as pixel response. They say it’s the same panel for the 240hz. Really curious about that being the case and how it compares to the viewsonic xg2431.

Obviously this monitor is for e sports pros. The cost for a 24 inch 1080p monitor is too much for even the average gamer. I currently own a sub 100 dollar 24 inch monitor with 180Hz refresh rate and that's obviously a huge value win. My next monitor grail is going to be 32 inch 1440p monitor with 240 Hz or higher. I'm just waiting for the price to get absurdly low just like how I got my 24 inch monitor.
Indeed, it's very expensive! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
This monitor is currently costing 399, is it worth it?
It's actually in the $900.00 range to be honest.
i much rather manufacturers to focus on 24-25 inch 1440p-4k 144-360hz monitors then this lol, and please dont tell me its a waste at that size, there are 4k laptops and phones with 300-400 ppi lol.
It's a waste at that size 🏃😂
@@TotallydubbedHD why is it a waste, i dont understand, people always say you dont see pixels at this distance and that but its not about seeing pixels, i have the q24g2 and no i dont see pixels but i sure as heck do see pixelation even 5 meters away from the monitor as distance doesnt effect the final image, even 4k at 24" will have some pixelation but it will be better then 27" for sure, ITS NOT ONLY ABOUT SEEING PIXELS, its about the whole image.
@@yarincool1237I just wanted to trigger you haha. But honestly, it's because you'll be using a higher scaling (unless you're crazy). At which point, the pixels she the viewing experience doesn't change that much vs say 1440p.
Of course, things will look a little sharper, especially for gaming or media consumption, but you'll have diminishing returns.
@@TotallydubbedHD of course you'll have diminishing returns, but you also have diminishing returns from going from 144-240hz but it's still feels better, about the scaling idk I mostly want the 4k for gaming and don't really care even to use 200% scaling, of course if I needed to do professional work or something my opinion would probably be different but for gaming it just isn't really a big thought at least for me, the pixelation on my Q24G2 still bothers me,it's an amazing monitor it's just that I usually need more then most people in everything in life lol, and I'm sad there are no 24-25 inch 4k high refresh personally, but I'm not surprised either as I know even 27" 1440p is enough for most people and I'm just "special" I guess.
@@yarincool1237 maybe lol. I'm quite happy with my 27" 1440p. I personally think that's the sweet spot, and many will agree.
i'm curious to try 540 hz but the only flaw that has this monitor is the price lol 1000€ ......and is only a 24" 1080p and not even an oled .Asus is crazy with prices

@@TotallydubbedHD 60hz and 120hz
@TotallydubbedHD I've been looking for a fast monitor at 60hz and 120hz, so I'm a little bit worried if this would perform normally on ps5 at these refresh rates, I know it sounds crazy to buy a 500hz monitor and just using it at 60hz and 120hz, but yeah as long as this monitor is a beast at those refresh rate I don't mind, I've tried some next-gen monitors and they are sucks tbh, they are full of input lag and such stuff, I've seen hardware box review about this monitor and he said that this monitor is very fast at 60 hz and 120hz in fact it's the fastest out there and the input lag is just insanely good.
@@UAE_UNIT-9 utterly pointless and stupid to look at this monitor, go check my best monitor roundup for my suggestions.
What's the point of such a high refresh rate when you can only have such high fps in eSports games and pretty much nothing else? I still think that 144Hz is ideal because it's much easier to get 144 fps even in many AAA games, also paying so much for a TN panel in 2024 is ridiculous in my opinion. You can get a 1440P OLED at 27" for a similar amount of money. I just think it's wasteful to buy a monitor just for one specific type of games.
You'll be surprised. Some people would solely buy it for hardcore gaming and nothing else. Certainly not me (even with 3h+ hrs on CS), but there is a niche market for it
Me, just a casual gamer, bought the 540hz monitor and I gotta say it positively blew away my expectations
Ive gone through many monitors in every price category and the ASUS PG248QP is hands down the best gaming monitor I have ever owned
Tbh it feels like I am cheating in fps games because of how smooth it is
If you have the disposable income and want a new gaming monitor then this one is for you especially because it is future proof. I just wish the monitor was 1-3 inches larger but overall the size is fine
I'm curious why you opted for it as a casual player over say a 1440p monitor, be it OLED or Mini LED?
