This just added to the huge laundry list of reasons I have to visit Japan. Have wanted to go since I was a teenager (now 29), only things stopping me; money and travel anxiety. Also, I really want to pick up Japanese again!
Japan is very beginner friendly despite what people think. All the trains and transportation have English signage and the /r/japantravel subreddit is a really good resource for sorting out itineraries
In threads of silk, a story weaved, Japanese fabrics, beauty perceived. Colors dance in intricate design, A tapestry of culture, so divine. Cherry blossoms and waves that flow, In every pattern, a tale to show. From kimono to obi, a work of art, These fabrics capture every heart.
Such beautiful prints. I don't actually sew, but I have an obsession for Fabrics. . .especially the little samples. Japan has some unique fabric prints.
Japan and fabrics, a never ending love story 💘 In my latest trips to Japan I must force myself not to step in one of these awesome shops, otherwise I am perfectly able to spend entire hours looking at every single fabric, each of one being a little treasure ✨💘 (the same happens with traditional paper)
I got inspired by the colour of the top you're wearing and thought your jacket would look fun if your added the missing sleeve in the same green as your top. Can't wait to see what you make with all the fabrics
I'll be visiting Japan (Tokyo) for the first time in September and I cannot wait for Nippori Fabric Town shopping! Thanks for the tip to visit the large Tomato store first and the jewelry shop looks like a must-visit too! Thank you!
omg i went to gu when i went to japan a few years ago i didnt know it was a sister store of uniqlo .the fabrics you choose are so cute! omg the checkered cows
Great finds! The minty-green cardigan you could replace with buttons that look like pearls or maybe ones that resemble mother-of-pearl. Also, you look so cute with your looks and short-hair! :D
The one-sleeved jacket is cute, but made me think of a possible project. Add on a sleeve using one or two of the scrap (smaller pieces) material(s) to that thrifted blue jacket. Perhaps line the sleeve in order to have an equal weight to the "regular" sleeve. I am more a finisher as opposed to someone skilled in sewing. My unexpected hauls from a fabric or thrift store involve too many trims, fasteners, findings and beads! LOVE that long pink skirt, yes dye it black and then make an accessory (top or jacket or hat or bag) out of the panda bear quilted material. The jewelry display per creator was like a "brick&mortar" ETSY-type store. Hope TSA did not give you any grief regarding the mini-tool bag.😉
All beautiful! Does each fabric store carry notions and sewing supplies, such as hand sewing needles? In some counties one needs to go to a seperate specific store.
There’s some typos with the captions. Some just say 11 or 12 yen, but should be 1100 yen and 1200 😅

Hear me out, the neon green turtleneck and the almost neon pink long skirt look soooo good together....OMG, I could not stop looking at you 😍😍😍😍😍
I know it does haha. I just feel like I would have more outfits if it was black 🤔
@@coolirpa True that, black is easier to combine tho....
These fabrics are gorgeous! My favorite is the checkered cow print one and the cute sewing material one! Super cute finds
If you point google lens at written languages, it can translate for you
