4K Short Film | "Everyday Racer" | How an R32 GTR makes any day a good day

- There is little in life more freeing to a gear-head than driving the car you love and have put blood, sweat, and tears into. However life happens and sometimes the freedom of shifting gears to relieve stress is put on the back burner for more important tasks. Which brings us to our first short film about a middle-aged father who just wants to drive his R32 Skyline while being the best dad he can be.
We hope you enjoy it and please, we would love to hear all the feedback so we can incorporate it into our next video!

It's not about the speed... it's about loving and enjoying the car. Not all fun cars are fast, not all fast cars are fun.
But if getting in the car and driving it brings you joy, it's a great car.

Best thing I love about this video is that "behind" a true car enthusiast. It's that smile😀 everytime I enter my car and drives it..its like a getting away from negativity and it's just me being un my own little world..keep it up..I like the editing in slow motion..

Good job guys, great quality, great scenario, really nice shots... one thing that just bothers me is those rolling shots when he drives and the sounds of driving in that part... it's just not strong enough, it's very "light"... I would push much more to give the viewer the experience of an R32 GTR ;)

On top of this, sounded like the engine noise was just a loop of the same segment, rather than a specific recording of the driving section.
Also felt like the outside shot was looped a few times too.
On more of a personal note....who turns their lights on before they start the car? Or is it me, who is weird?
this is exactly how I felt, the story was great, visually it was amazing (except I wasn’t a particular fan of the fast forwarded clips), the car was gorgeous, but I wish the sound was on the same level as the rest of the experience.. I bet it would make a massive difference and put the content to the next level! Keep up the awesome work

One of your stories should be a guy with his first s-chassis building it over a year, starting it for the first time and having that first drive of satisfaction. It's something all of us long for and borderline emotional when it happens.
Love the idea! The feeling and emotion of a project coming together and hearing the first start up and then driving down the road under its own power is indeed an emotional moment for all the right reasons!
I'm a story boarder for the training department of my job and I can see it similar to my story. Basically a college kid who had family members with awesome JDM cars, watching fast and furious and then one day seeing an s14 kouki. He gets one in "okay" shape and pieces it together throughout the year with small money from paychecks here and there. Finally the day comes where it's start up day and he just smiles and hangs his head with his hands on the steering wheel about to cry, but he doesn't because it's his own hard work he now gets to enjoy.
You guys could source a clean kouki locally and get some banged up parts "cheap zenki bumpers and stuff" and then show the process of the owner just swapping it all out and boom. In about 5-8 minutes you've got your story, rolling shots, and the emotional attachment of a classic JDM car that most of us can relate to. But that's just my story.
Or will be lol I'm still building mine hahaha.
Right! We currently have a stash of script ideas and one of those is a true insight into pain and glory of being an enthusiast in the middle of a roller coaster called life.
The cinematography was great and I love the car. One suggestion would be a more raw experience with the GTR with proper engine sounds and revving. This driving segment did not engage me as much as it could have, but I can see you have the potential. Nice work!

I have a Pearl white manual 1992 Gts-t R32 and my wife and I always drive it to run errands. I always get the thumbs up randomly by younger drivers (I'm 33). I felt like I could feel the same joy the main character was feeling as he was driving around town. By the way, I always turn my lights on before I start the car.

To be honest it is the fist movie which has the great sound of shifting the gears in the GTR, plus slow motion scene is just incredible ;)

Love it! I can relate on soo many levels. I actually use my skyline to get diapers and grocery shopping because my crew cab toyota doesn't have a boot and the baby seats take up the whole rear of the cab. It's more convenient to take the skyline 😊 cheers to dadlife and still keeping our toys 🍻

I wish I had seen this video earlier. I love just about every aspect it. Execution was spot on, my only wish was that the engine audio while driving matched the same intensity that the dad had while enjoying the drive. A bit louder, a bit more "raw", would have helped augment the enjoyment he was having while ripping down the road in his GTR, the current audio is just too tame! Either way, I love the video , especially the overhead shots. My favorite shot however, was the garage opening. :D

Another great one (first watched the Bimmer) As a father myself, it is not too hard to identify myself with the protoganista. :) Just a little note, in some shots speeding up is a bit too obvious but they don't take anything from the enjoyment. This film deserves way more views than it gets. Might improve greatly by redoing the title and the description which constitute the most important parts of the metadata. I could give you some quick tips on that. Keep up the great work! Cheers! 😎
