I've been using the Max 4 and it works great! The controllers have the ability to also turn on/off a heating unit, but they didn't include an output jack for that. That would be a nice feature for things like saisons or brewing with kviek, and they could offer a heating unit/jacket as an accessory.
Great video, I want the icemaster max 2 including the brewbuilt x2 jacket in order to replace my freezer, I will have it soon and I will take it to Lima, Peru. Just like my brewzilla gen4. I will waiting the next videos. Cheers guys. greatting from Lima Perú.
Hello!! Thanks for the vide, it was very well explained! I would like to know, what is the maximum volume of fermenter that can be cooled and controled with the ICEMASTER Max 4. I have three 40 gal fermenters, do you think it will suffice? Thanks!
I currently use a chest freezer w/ a temperature controller and can handle 2 batches at a time. I would love a glycol chiller but I have to save some major pennies before I could pop for one. Something to look forward to.
I asked a similar question in another thread, but I just want clarity. Can this unit also heat? If I make mead in the winter in my garage I want to make sure I can maintain a warm temp for fermenting.
Hey Stephen, sorry for the confusion. These systems are really meant for cooling. In your case, you may be more interested in using something a heating pad connected to a temperature controller in order to maintain that warm temperature that you're looking for!
In order to use Keglands RAPT system (maybe their controllers) would you reccomend just using the max 100 OR - is there a way to integrate the rapt control into the icemaster 2
Ok its been a summer in CA has these beem tested cold crashing 2 fermenters ar the same time. Say in a garage. My garage can get what feels like 95 inside
Are you able to use a glycol chiller to bring a high temp down? For example 220 degrees Fahrenheit to 38 degrees Fahrenheit? Wouldn’t necessarily need to be really fast but I’m just wondering if it would break the chiller. Also, if using a glycol chiller could you turn a brite tank into a tank where you can serve a cold beverage from? Like a bar or something? I’m a novice so I appreciate your help.
So I ferment in a modified dorm fridge that cools AND heats. What about conditions where you need heat for fermentation? Is there a chiller/heater? Needed for cold climates or kivek yeasts.....
What should the reservoir controller that is in back of the unit be set to? Should it be at 28F (-2c)? I've read that it should be about 15f lower than your coldest fermentation temp would be, so that the compressor does not power on/off more than needed.
I am using the G40 with grainfather fermenters. When I put the temp probe in it give me an error. Seems like it the fermenters temp probe is not compatible with with the chiller. Any idea how to fix this?
Im currently using a water bath, a submersible pump, a cooling coil, and frozen water bottles/lunchbox ice packs, it helps me get the temps to where i need but a glycol chiller would get me to the next level, help me expand my fermentation capabilities!
I am using a refrigerator with heat wrap on my fermenter. Hope to some day upgrade to a glycol chiller or maybe get lucky and win the one you all are giving away.

Loving my Icemaster Max 2 so far. Really does make the process more convenient.
My Icemaster Max 4 is a complete game changer. Spot on temperature control with precision and FAST cold crashing.
These would enable me to up my lager game! Definitely on my wish list.
Very nice, need to consider!! Thanks for the video!🎉
The Max 2 has been working great for me keeping 11+ gallons of fermenting beer chilled in my garage. BTW, sounds like Vito's lav mic wasn't turned on.
One sweet day my wifey will let me get one. Love the content!
I love my BrewBuilt Icemaster for my two fermenters
Great video
Great system

Love mine
Dope 🤘🏽
Quisiera saber si este chiller puede llegar a enfriar un fermentador de 250 Litros?

After fermentation how do you disassemble and remove tubes?
Vito sans hat....Nice!!!!

I usually have 2 to 3 fermentations going. This would be great for lagering and crashing.

Use a temp controller and reptile heater or heat wrap … some guys use a ceramic Light

That would be a nice addition, summer months get around 102-108 here in the cali desert. But I think the wife would kill me if I brought that home. 😂

Also... No cold crash for me!
We need the X2 unitanks in Europe asap.

I want one of those puppies. I'm done with the chest freezer with its +/-2 degree temp fluctuation.
Maybe some day. For now, I'm fermenting at room temp. To be fair, I am only doing 1 gal batches. I haven't upgraded to 5 gal yet.
Did I just watched Glycol porn? Wishing I could satisfy my beer temperature that way!
Pros: everything .cons: maybe should have been painted ice blue. Maybe, but I wouldn't complain.
I can’t afford glycol I wish I could
