Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu....that is so true! My mom was a Jahovah witness, my dad christian. When I was young, I felt lost but knew I was different, and knew that I came from somewhere. Somehow I knew to talk to Allah, and only to Him. Allah guided me to Islam. I was on a mission, going to church, asking questions etc. Alhamdulillah, they ignored me and pushed me away. I cried, I searched, but didn't give up. It was all apart of Allah's perfect plan. Alhamdulillah for choosing me. I'm the only one so far in my family that is muslim. It made sense, it is the truth. Alhamdulillah!!!

I was born a Christian, it never seemed right, but I didn't know anything of Islam. Then when I learned, it seemed right, in ways Christianity never did. I am thankful Allah chose me to be a Muslim. Everything that bothered me about christianity was addressed in Islam. You are so correct, in how Islam was for me.
Jesus was raised from the dead to prove that He is LORD, and will give Eternal Life to whoever believes in Him and it is BAPTIZED, Mark:16;16-24. NOBODY ELSE said " I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE THE LIFE" The rest of founders of religions are still dead waiting for Jesus to come at the LAST JUDGEMENT DAY, Matthew 25:31-46, by then it will be TOO LATE.

I was born Muslim but never really practiced but now here I am hooked in lectures. I started reading the Qur'an and learning the right way of reading starting from pronunciation to rules and regulations. I am glad my mother had me go to mmadrasa when I was in elementary because then at least I learned the arabic alphabet that becomes my starting point going back to Quran. I saAllah this June I will perform my hajj. May Allah forgive me and accepts me in His Jannatul Firdaus.

The cyclical nature of life is created by the One in Control of all things.
Allah asks us to look around us.... signs of Allah all around us.
One of the biggest 'wow moment' coming across Qur’an 3:26-27, is the subtlety of the night into the day - have you ever witnessed this - look deeper. Just as Allah is aware of every ray of light, He is aware of every feeling, thought and macronutrient in your heart, mind and body. Believe becomes conviction which nothing can deter.

I am a revert from Christianity to Islam and my family member keeps stating me and my husband don't know anything because we don't have the holy spirit. We then ask questions and he cannot answer it so we ask him to have the holy spirit tell him the answer.

According to my understanding The word holy Spirit was used in the gospel to identify Angel Gabriel when he came to Mary and Prophets. Not used for normal people's soul.
The holy Ghost/spirit in Christianity has nothing to do with the nick name of The Angel Jabreel in Islam. Please search the story of the angel Jabreel lecture
I’m Quran the Holy Spirit is mentioned so many times. I am a revert myself. My father was a baptist preacher. Was baptized at 6. Trust me. I used to think that everyone on this planet has to be stopped by only Allah SWT from understanding. If you read the Bible and Quran, and Old Testament, also called Torah, Abraham the father of ALL TRUE ISLAM, not once did he or Noah, or anyone ever pray or call out to ANYONE but Allah SWT. NOR DID JESUS! He continuously say “OUR father, who art in HEAVEN. OVER AND OVER. MIRACLE OF ISLAM? Quran. Because each and every single miracle non Muslims say mentioned in all the books could have been heresay. Yet the details NOT given about events are also provided and will blow your mind. This is why I converted at 15 and am now 53. I am an American Muslim but identify as a Pakistani Muslim lol. 39 years married to the man Allah SWT gave permission to bring me to the straight path, ameen. My relationship with the Bible and the Quran makes ALL our beloved prophets so real to me. The actions the took, the times they get scolded and why, all are lessons that these are men who made MISTAKES. LIKE ALL OF US. NO ONE is above any other. Jesus was not killed but taken up to him. We are to follow Abraham and Moses laws. Meaning the Ten Commandments, the Torah, and they all fit together to give you such a rich, vibrant living picture that strengthens every single time you read them. I beg the world to see we all follow these men! The Jews refuse to even recognize Jesus and killed a lot of mesiahs sent to them and it’s all in the Bible and Torah. Over and over and to this day Jews are STILL doing what Allah warned them of. Stop putting out of the homes those whom you had no right to do. It’s in the Quran. That’s why we have patience right now to sit and say Allah Huakbar while we see the things being done in Gaza. Walahee. Allah SWT knows, sees, and is the best of planners. His will is all that matters. Every Muslim who is with Quran in their daily life, they will comprehend and say Ameen that I have indeed spoken the truth.

I found him just last month during Ramadan and now I am hooked for more knowledge primarily because what he says ties to current situation and with moderation.

Exactly but sad to say that there are some in my circle who are hard core not a fan of Iran. I told them we may have slight differences in our prayers but we are united in the Shahada. We are one Umma and we should be united against the common enemy.

Well let’s face it I was born a Catholic and I had Methodist grandparents who introduced me to other religious groups, but eventually Allah through Prophet Muhammad led me to become a Muslim. So when Shaitan comes with his foolish questions I ask him to get leadeth behind me. The same way Jesus YESHUA IESA told him.

I was born into a Muslim family but I wasn't practicing. Later I learned about Islam and started to be a real Muslim. And I learned enough about other religions to know they are man-made and false
The worst thing you can do to a child is tell the child to memorize or recite a book written or inspired by God-Any book! It impedes the child's critical thinking regarding that book.
I'll question my beliefs too, if I was told to recite, "Jesus died for my sins," 5 times a day.

And some of us converts, even after converting, because we were around Muslims with a different Aqeeda, still didn't feel everything agreed with our fitra.
Al Hamdulillah that Allah made me understand 'praying in front of a saint's grave' (Senegal), or attending a very strange place they use as a pilgrimage (Senegal and India), or visiting mosques just because kings were buried there (Morocco) or...... The list goes on and on....
But once I started learning the Deen, keeping the right company and adhering to the sunnah, I knew I was finally being guided towards success.
I think born Muslims go thru this as well and when they actually follow the sunnah, their families who are attached more to their Dunya, bida'a and oftentimes, shirk, ostracize them.
Just because one is born Muslim doesn't mean they are on the right path, or that faith had entered their heart..
They too are on a path and are being tested. How many have i met that said they were afraid they were becoming atheists and mainly because of what their countries were pushing... It's only when they left said country that they were FREE to study the Deen and understand and adhere to the Sunnah.
There are many Muslim countries that are actually creating fitna for or pushing falsehood on their Muslims.
May ALLAH give them ikhlas and guide them

I have made an observation of some of the things you mentioned. What I've concluded is that many of these people don't read Quran as they should and blindly follow misinterpretations or downright false interpretations either intentionally or unintentionally fed to them. Another problem is that in some places Muslims also tie cultural practices with Islamic theology and practice. Oftentimes these practices are in direct opposition to what is prescribed on the Umma from the Quran.
Wallahi this lecture could not have come at a better time. I was about to email askYQ about some of the waswasa i was having raised by random videos on internet.

It doesn’t matter if Islam is true the question is whether Muslims are true to their faith !
It does matter that Islam is true.
As a Muslim, if anything positive is said about our beloved Prophet Mohammed (SAW) in the Quran or Hadith, such as, water flowing from the hands of the Prophet, or turning of water into milk, and he will be the first person admitted into paradise- I’ll simply accept it as the absolute truth.
Conversely, if anything negative is written about the Prophet (SAW/PBUH) in the Hadiths, such as sex with the prepubescent 9-year old Aisha, or sex with his slave, Mariyah (Surah 66:1), I’ll simply reject it as completely false, unreliable, misinterpreted, or taken out of context-since our Prophet is the BEST of mankind and the greatest of all Allah's Prophet, and I'll diligently recite this five times daily so that no one can shake my Fitna and Iman.
