You'll see them on the highway a lot. Their Linehaul division goes from terminal to another terminal in a surrounding state and switches out trailers then brings them back. That's their way of doing OTR so all their drivers are home everyday. You can tell which ones are Linehaul and which ones are normal city drivers. LH are the double trailers on the interstates. As for your question, No, they are not taking over trucking although I feel like the method they use to transport their goods across the nation is better than making someone live in their truck. Atleast all their drivers go home at the end of the day

I pull for a small family owned company that hauls mostly Hazmat regionally, and some nationally.
Mostly DOW Corning/Chemical, which is now all officially DuPont.
    Before they bought
    Menlo/Conway, I hadn’t seen them that much.
But when they did that, they got all of the Conway contracts. Which includes most of the chemicals hauled in the USA 🇺🇸 and Canada 🇨🇦, plus all of the LTL contracts and freight that Conway originally had.
Including cross dock terminals all over the U.S.A.
Conway Menlo Logistics was pretty big, but they had all of that split up into different carriers.
Now everything, including the owner operators pulling the containers, says XPO on them.
At the very least, there’s a sign on the door when it comes to the owner operators.
They are pretty big, but it might just be a visibility issue.

They bought out Conway ltl carrier several years back Conway had taken over CFI, CFI had a 10 yr no compete clause, CFI Is now running again just isn't as big as they use to be. XPO is LTL/ Truckload carrier but mostly LTL.
