Limburg an der Lahn Duitsland

Limburg a.d. Lahn is een gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Hessen. Het is de Kreisstadt van het Landkreis Limburg-Weilburg. De stad telt 35.648 inwoners.[1]
Limburg a.d. Lahn heeft een oppervlakte van 45,15 km² en ligt naast de grens tussen Hessen en Rijnland-Palts, ongeveer 30 km ten oosten van Koblenz. Door Limburg vloeit de Lahn. In Limburg is de zetel van het Bisdom Limburg. De dom van Limburg, die in 1235 gewijd werd, is een gaaf voorbeeld van laat-romaanse bouw, hoewel ook al enige vroeg-gotische elementen zichtbaar zijn.
