I’m brand new to archery and bought the Hoyt Torrex as my first bow and I absolutely love it. Thank you guys for an awesome review. Straight forward and to the point.
Good on Hoyt for offering a solid bow at a more economical price. If I was looking, I'd be giving some serious thought about it. Matter of fact, I do know someone who's looking to buy their first bow. I'm going to show him this tomorrow. Maybe he'll sign up and win it. Hell... I'm going to sign up and if I win it, I'll give it to him.
After switching from bowtech to hoyt. I purchased the hoyt Nitrux in 2018. Technically being a 2019 model bow. The nitrux has a really awesome system. Cable system runs through rollers, rather than the slider. Really smooth. Love hoyt
Wish I had this option years ago ended up getting a mission endeavor by Mathews...this is a great price point and adjustability is great better then the bow I had started with...proud HOYT rx3 owner now
I got a sweet deal on a used XT. I couldn’t walk away from it. Year old, HHA Tetra sight, Bee stinger stabilizer, fully set up ready to hunt $650. Awesome bow.
I checked out the link to HOYT Archery and this bow, I didn't see a mention of it being either available in left hand or nor did it say right hand only. Although I am right handed, I am left eye dominate. My one brother is actually the opposite. Would be nice to know. Usually entry level bows in more high end brands are right hand only, but they should mention if it is or isn't. There are lot more of us cross dominate or left hand/left eye dominate people than one would think. Thanks for sharing.
I’m hoping to get a archery buck this year. Have had the same Hoyt bow for 6 years and this year I’m taking lining it’s up and bow season very serious, hopefully this year is the year
My local shop that I bought my bone collector torrex from has no idea how to tune a bow . N they’re the only shop close to me . I really need someone to help me get it right. I’ve spent hours playing with it n just can’t get it where it should be
Want one now be learning watching so much wanted power max 70lb but I really like this package think I am sold on xt going to my local bow shop this week
I would like to support my local pro shop,,,,,,B U T was interested in buy a bow, arrow broadheads field points, release and targets,,,,,BUT $50 set up fee for a bow that was just purcased from them would not let me shoot anything before I purchased the bow was not afraid to drop 2K plus
I just did to and this bow is amazing but one thing that call my attention was when they were registered the bow they didn’t find a serial number on it. Does you Torrex have a serial number on it ?
It is just plain silly that they want 600 for what they consider a mid level bow. Buy a 1 year old used flagship bow for the same price. If you are just getting into archery and looking for your first bow and need a dealer to set it up for you, get one of those 300-400 beginner packages. A 600-700 mid level bow is a waste. Wouldn’t recommend.
Wish I had known this last week as I picked up this bow then never drawn a compound bow however I just could not wait to find a left handed compound bow although even if I were aware dont think that would change my urge lol. With that said I dig my Hoyt Torrex, what do I know yet other than I'm shooting targets with a smile!!!!!!
RcHaze Right on! That is good. I just felt like it is a big jump for someone getting into the sport. I have not had a chance to shoot one. If you are willing to make that investment and you like it that is good. I spend a lot on my archery equipment now but getting into it I wasn’t so loose with the purse strings.
Mine was 800, you would be surprised. I've always found it was better too buy a good one the first time because if I didn't I would have too buy a second one lol

I ordered mine today from my local shop, based on this review. Can't wait for it to get here!

Definitely a great first bow. Just purchased the Carbon RX-4 Alpha. Cannot wait to get it in and start shooting.
I’m so excited. I’ve been saving up my money and this just dropping at the right time since I’m ready to go get one!
Did you get it?
Its crazy how the mid-line bows are now 700.00. Hell when i bought my first compound in 2004 flag ship bows from Hoyt were 700.00
If you account for the annual inflation, $700 in 2004 is $976 in 2020
After switching from bowtech to hoyt. I purchased the hoyt Nitrux in 2018. Technically being a 2019 model bow. The nitrux has a really awesome system. Cable system runs through rollers, rather than the slider. Really smooth. Love hoyt
That sounds like a perfect price point set up! I’m still shooting my old pse that I bought in ‘95 in Montana when I was 15.
Did you got torrex?
Samet Elvan I haven’t got one. Trying to get one more year outta my pse
Wish I had this option years ago ended up getting a mission endeavor by Mathews...this is a great price point and adjustability is great better then the bow I had started with...proud HOYT rx3 owner now

Picked up my Rx-4 ultra it is simply amazing. Love the bow builds you guys do .
Good stuff! Always love to hear info on new products. Can't wait to see what's next.
I seriously love these videos! I learn so much! Keep making vids like these!
That’s such a sick bow! Can’t wait to see you blow through some big bulls with that Brian! Awesome video!
Very cool bow! Not loving Brian's bun ;), but the bow looks very nice for the price.
On the Hoyt website it says they have a package do you have to pay extra for that, or does it come with that for the starting price??
Is the torrex xt going to be offered this coming year? Looking at buying one as a xmas gift.
Which one to buy, please help. This one or Bear cruzer G2?
I just bought this bow today. So happy with it
But why is it better than the power max?
how's the vibration on this one? the last Hoyt I had (hyperforce) is so annoying on how it vibrates. sold it and got the Matthews Vertix.

Great review. Thanks for outlining exactly what the Torrex has to offer.
Do you think someone of a short stature could be good with this
I’m hoping to get a archery buck this year. Have had the same Hoyt bow for 6 years and this year I’m taking lining it’s up and bow season very serious, hopefully this year is the year
I found my new bow. I really wanted the powermax now seeing this im sold.
Man I was about to get the power max I'm glad I waited.
The XT Long draw has a 7-inch brace height, perfect for me, just getting back into shoot after a 28 year break.
Thank you so much for this comment i need the long draw but they didnt cover it.
How is this bow compared to the Bear archery Alaskan?
My local shop that I bought my bone collector torrex from has no idea how to tune a bow . N they’re the only shop close to me . I really need someone to help me get it right. I’ve spent hours playing with it n just can’t get it where it should be
I can’t believe I forgot to enter for the drawing! Anyway you guys rock!
Honestly it’s basically a tuned down nitrux no? And the niitrux is a tad more expensive putting it out of the budget line... seems like a good score
If you get the XT it's faster then the nitrux and cheaper!
Hoyt knocked this one out of the park, HOYT man for life here!
Love mine got my first buck and bow kill definitely step up from a misson craze
Perfect time to start breaking in the new bow before hunting season starts. 🏹
Cast magnesium what is this 1980?
So sick. Perfect Timing!
Thanks guys. Super helpful.
Would this bow be good for a bigger guy

It sounds nice, looks a little chintzy
This bow is now like $899.
my name is in the hat
Am I crazy or what “beginner” archer would spend $600 for a bow??
Mine was 800, you would be surprised. I've always found it was better too buy a good one the first time because if I didn't I would have too buy a second one lol
Dean-0 dang I spent under 150$ for a bow on amazon and have had 0 problems and it shoots perfect... Much much cheaper
Me

I used to love Hoyt, until I shot everything else.
Hoyt is in a solo battle to produce the ugliest bows.
