Broo!! That segment where the professor talks about cleaning your phones camera lens, that’ll make a great reel and I’m sure it’ll get a lot of engagement!! That needs to be made into its own post alone, can’t wait to see it! People outside of the camera world will find great use of this information!🙏
Amsterdam is an amazingly photogenic city. Got some seriously amazing photos last October with both my phone and my a6600. Will definitely be using some tips from this video for my next visit! Thanks to Jason and Professor Hines!
We were thinking we were the Rush Hour of Photography but I guess Batman & Robin works too... Who's the Dark Knight and who's the Boy Wonder? Wait don't tell me... 🫣
Crazy how capable mobile phones are nowadays! 😳 I knew it was good and then the professor came and blew my mind how far we can push the raws on the 15 pro!
Been waiting for this ever since your Guide to Street Photography, but I must wait until after I'm off the clock. Already know this video is going to need my full attention.
Most useful part for me as someone who sold his 24mm and 50mm lens in lieu of a 35mm is knowing that the 1.5x (35mm) zoom crops in from the main sensor. Till now, haven't been using it in fear it would harm image quality. Thanks!
Next is the Ultimate guide to Photography with Aps-C camera (sony 6400) as you guys promised in the 1st ultimate guide video........waiting for that👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I think it's partially because how crazy good smartphones are already with the basic auto mode that most people wouldn't have to think about digging into the menus to change a few things. I'd have to admit, the settings on the iPhone are all over the place but ultimately are worth setting up for potential shots like these!
Great video!.... it seems from the Apple specs shown for Iphone 15 Pro and Pro Max, that only x1 lens is using the full 48 mpixel sensor.... and that x 0.5 and x 2 uses 12 mpixel..... (but the option to use 24mm-28mm-35mm uses 48mpixel, but cropped a bit to give FOV equal to 24-28-35mm
Love this. I have been living in the Netherlands since December. Been to most of the locations you guys went. Great info here. Love the cleaning the lens comment. Been using lightroom for years as well. Great job!!
Whenever I explained what the difference raw and jpeg photos are to someone, the best way I could explain it is raw is a uncooked piece of meat and jpeg is a cooked piece of meat, a uncooked piece of meat you can do a lot to and there’s only so much you can do to a cooked piece of meat before you ruin it.
@@aaronpn9928well from my understanding of HEIF max is basically you can take high resolution photos the size of a raw photo but the same size of or smaller than a jpeg photo, but the HEIF max photos have more depth to them similar to raw photos but just in a smaller package lol. Hopefully that helps
I think we were there for almost a week but we loved it there! Everyone was very kind and nice even while we were filming! You guys sure know how to make an impression! 🥹
Love video episodes plus the podcast as i can wait the episode while on a break, then when i have to go out on a patrol in the hospital. i can finish the episode by listening to it. I hope family law gets another season as its a great Canadian series and there is not many unless you count tv series that are filmed in Canada by American companies.
Hello I've learned a lot from you guys. You are amazing! I was wondering if you have some additional paid courses I can attend to learn more about street photography.
I’ve really enjoyed this video! It really resonates with me. I currently just have my iPhone For taking photos, want to take it more seriously but I have no idea where to start as far as a mirrorless camera goes. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, on another note I’m in the market to purchase a computer any suggestions for best computers for editing purposes may help you?
Lovely guide, great work again, tnx for that. I do wonder, since LR is sponsoring the video, didn’t you consider using the LR app to take the photo’s? I don’t know about the iPhone 15 photo app but I really enjoy LR over my iPhone 13 photo app to take pictures. Just curious
Thanks Jason from UK 😊 I noticed you had the camera on High Efficiency, is that the best for NON raw 24mp pics for clarity hdr etc on likes of Facebook please, as a lot say should be on most compatible, I’m confused! Social media compression is dreadful I’d like to know what settings to minimise the compression…. X
Hi Love your videos. Im writing a book about iphone photography. May I have your permission to use hyperlinks that will bring my readers to your videos? May I also use some of your content?
Nothing in the pipeline. I have collabed with ZEISS in the past to make a Travel Filmmaking tutorial series that's still up on my channel albeit in a very different format than this.
We recommend using Adobe Lightroom! We have a full blown editing portion in the second half of the video where the Professor will show you how he edits from scratch!
I just got my first pro version on an iPhone 16, and interested in learning how to use the camera well having never been a photographer before. I understand HEIF Max is new this year, and wondering what the major difference is between what was used in this video? Besides heif max being smaller file sizes than pro raw, is it more or less the same? Or is it the same situation where like the smaller jpeg, more image data is lost?
Hey guys! I live in Amsterdam and would love to know if you do any sort of group trips or workshops or photography meetings... anything of the sort? I'd loove to join and learn from the best!
Also Adobe Lightroom! The one shown there is the Desktop app but a mobile app is also available. You will see the full editing the process in the second half of the video. Enjoy!
I'm pretty sure the HDR was lost in this video upload as well. The images are too dark. HDR is lost with uploads. I suspect an Apple engineering glitch.
Hi! We have mentioned all the editing done on desktop can be done on mobile as well! For the sake of a better viewing experience, we chose to demonstrate the editing on a computer as we have more screen real estate to show how each adjustments can change the photo whereas on mobile, the UI will cover up the photos at times. Hope that clears it up!

Please do more of this. It very helpful and very entertaining. More power. 🙌🙌🙌
Thank you for your hard work. I'm pretty sure that this will open up many opportunities for people who were not previously interested in photography.

These guides always spark creativity and insight! The third installation is truly great! As they say in japan, お疲れ様です!
Still need to get the Professor to Japan for some Street Photography 😎
Another great collaboration that I will watch several times, picking up new tips with each view
We always produced these types of videos with the intention of multiple viewing sessions! And it's a great background video for chores, commute, etc!
Wow.. thank you for this free lesson. Love the energy!
Glad you enjoyed it!!!

@@JasonVong Most definitely. Also got to try all this RAW stuff out, use it with my Canon R all the time but never with my smartphone pics.
Awesome tutorial of this iPhone photography Jason

Hi, friend! I actually was just asking about HEIF Max. Since your analogy helped me simply understand raw vs jpeg, where does HEIF max come in?
@@aaronpn9928well from my understanding of HEIF max is basically you can take high resolution photos the size of a raw photo but the same size of or smaller than a jpeg photo,

can i use my iphone 15 pro's standard app to edit RAW Max photos / videos ?

One day we’ll find out Prof Hines is just Dave Chappelle impersonating a photographer

I have iPhone 15 plus non pro. Still can i use this this tips?
Absolutely!
What version of iPhone is used in the video??
iPhone 15 Pro Max
4k 24 fps video recording
or 1080p HD 60 fps on iPhone
for the ordinary owner
iPhone?
I’d do 1080p60 if you’re doing casual videos!
Thank you very much for your answer.
I have paid to buy zv e1 settings but the file is unable to open
