Whenever I see a real DJ with real vinyl and using headphones, turning the knobs and operating the faders after he has really adjusted the BPM ...., my heart leaps for joy. Today, anyone with a few extra euros and time can become a DJ. The mixing desk does everything these days. I want to go back to the 90s. Even if there was dust on the needle on the first track.....can happen...the transition to the 2nd track is really cool and it's a record from the mighy mighty Hardhouse label
It's such a common misconception that modern DJ's are low effort zombies standing there purely for adoration having everything automated for them. Have you used modern equipment whilst DJ'ing? Things are a lot more complicated these days.
I'm 52 - I recall that time - a time when music and the cosmic feeling of being here on this rock in space were perfectly in sync - meaning and connection - the optimism of the next millenium loomed......then came mobile phones and the internet...gahhhh. great mix - loved it, thanks.
Salamander Tempest is an absolute banger. It was a favourite when I was a kid\o/ Platipus records used to be absolutely kick ass! Lochi - London acid city is a track I first heard when I was about 12 years old and it blew my mind. I loved the 303 sound and it was years before I found out who created it and where to buy more of it. The internet wasn't as prominent and the record shops in the cities were so far away and expensive as a kid.
It took me years to get a copy of London acid city, way past the point where I first heard it, definitely used to be a lot harder to get hold of proper acid techno
I remember those freaky synth type sounds, a couple years after I got clean I tried to listen but I got that strung out feeling and I gave all my tapes and cds to the thrift store. Regards though sir!👍

This is the type of sound I think I was searching for around 2005 but I guess was late to the party by then here in Canada. You've played some bangers! Thanks for the set! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Subscribed for more!

Trance'll always be cool man, especially the none cheesey type like this. Salamadar off Platypus Vol2.. was it? Love that track. Just got Carl Cox Fact1&2 on CD incidentally.
