- The distance between a contemporary artist and the social texture is a push and a personal engaging involvement. Often this artist-reality resonance turns into a symbolic "brut", showing this relationship as a direct way of coexistence.
Popular reality in this case loses the weight of banality or the rhetorical distance with the artist, because the artist does not hesitate to re-propose the raw aspect as a human value without trying to judge or remove it from contemporary art.
From this point of view, the artist Deniz Constantin uses painting as a window on social complexities, as a visual language in the form of naive painting, re-proposing the visual aspect as an aesthetic-brutal collage.
His works do not create a necessary bridge of communication with the daily events around him, on the contrary, he seems like a witness involved in the meaning of normal gestures, or invisible conflicts.
The reality of this artist is like a non-aesthetic form, but one that smells of meat, smells of naturalism and without an exotic or aesthetic approach.
The naivety of the artist is a poetic form which carries in itself all his questions or answers, between naivety and complexity to confront reality.
