One of my favorite albums from that time. It's still great after all these years. The scene in Wings of Desire with Crime...made such an impression on small town American kid.
First heard them around 1988-89 when I saw Wings of Desire and they blew me away. Bought Shine as an LP, bought the Brideship on LP, bought Room of Lights on LP, and got Paradise Discotheque on CD. Loved these guys and thought they broke up but then rediscovered that they are in Detroit (last I read). I was even singing this song to myself today for no apparent reason. This music has gotten inside me somehow. Intense and visceral. You can't fake this stuff. Timeless.
