Mr. Wang has the ability to create an other-worldly, ethereal sound with his cello. This is not something that most people are capable of with any stringed instruments - only the very greatest musicians can do it. That's why I love listening to ALL of his performances and recordings. And as Mr. Piatigorsky said, "Vibrato should mirror the soul." In Wang's performances, he always gets right to the core of the music and as any good virtuoso does, he reaches what the composer was trying to say. I'd never heard his playing before finding him on RUclips. His Lalo Concerto live performance is the best one I've ever heard of that piece anywhere.
