I got hole in one on hole 12th. Using 8 iron from the back tee. The flag was on the front. The best shot I’ve ever made😅😅😅👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey Gen - first round in Czech was fabulous - you have been nervous second round - you certainly showed you have the skill to match it with the best
Good luck this week playing a links course, a different king of golf.
I've got a knee injury so no golf for me, but enjoying watching you play courses round KL the way they should be played and I never have! Good luck in upcoming tournos!
That nine iron on twelve was hit so pure. incredible.
My prediction was 2 under coming in! Gonna see how you do!
You did it! Two under! I was rooting for you to go lower, especially on 18. Those volcano 🌋 greens are TOUGH! Good round and great vlog.
Love, prayers and birdies!
❤️🧡💛🙏🙏🙏🕊️ 🕊️ 🕊️
Watermelon. And still watching every vid. Thanks Gen, for all the effort and the awesome course backdrops that you take us too
Watermelon. Always good to see coach Diane 😁 on the channel
Maybe i have a chance to see you live in the dutch ladies open in the coming week. Wish you a good tournament. Finish high om the leaderboard!
Ah, Gen, I totally felt your pain on 18, just missing that slope by, just that much!! Great round though!! Thanks for the tag along!!
🍉yes, I did remember that you hit the light pole last time - haha
great shot today..
Finally the video that I'm waiting is here...nice to see Seri Selangor with new look. Very nice and challenging course....🍉🍉🍉
-3, great round out there Gen! Keep ballin
Always so stimulating for us as well as for you, of course! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and your game
I love a golf course that challenges the mind. I would enjoy playing that one without a doubt.
Greatest game every played, I totally agree.
Love these "inside Gen's mind" videos on how to think your way around the course.
Also, that Hole 12 coffee pond seems like it would come in handy for an early tee time😁☕️...or a hangover😉
Beautiful looking swing you have gen ,❤🏴⛳
Good round. Put up the same score in Germany this week and you will be in the money.
ok so its time 2 say something. i found your channel about 2 days and have binged watched nearly all your vids. end result is your an awesome golfer with an unbelievably awesome swing and kl and malaysia looks fantastic. so much so that i'm thinking of living there after my time here in spain. my thoughts on gen improvement.... v v difficult... your almost flawless so only v minor adjustment i could even mention...driver=tee the ball up higher and try to hit more fade shots...when u do hit a fade the sound is so much purer and clean & better ball flight... 3 wood/hybrids- ball slightly more to back foot and aim 10 yds further left,....irons=just more off back foot to get better strike downward as you hit a few slightly heavy + try fading your irons into the greens as the l2r spin will stop the ball quicker than the r2l shape you put on the ball+in kl greens heavily watered so your ball not running but when u get fast dry and hard greens your r2l spin ball just won't hold and will just run out all the time.....just aim lhs of the green and fade the ball into the flag with l2r spin to stop it quicker...chipping=you need to open your stance more & take the club on a more out to in motion .. you take it back on a slight inward motion first(just like your other clubs to hit a draw) and u do the same on your wedges......try moving your left arm out and away from you to a e.g.5 o'clock position on the backswing and see what happens and try and keep the clubface more open as on a few of your chips your right hand rolls over slightly, closes the club face and pulls the ball left.... wedges... i would lose the vokeys.. i used to play them all the time but once i changed to callaway pm grind i would never vokeys again..the face feels hard with a lack of an ability to control the ball and they also limited creativity in how i want to play the shot... once i played with the callaway pm grind it was like i could hit every shot in the book and took my game to an entirely different level (was off 5 got down to 1).. the wedge set up i have is (pw=47,52,58,64) .. the 64 degree pm is the most important club of all....///..i cant stress this enough.. its off the chart awesome.... doesn't matter how fast/hard the green is, the 64 deg will throw it up and drop it almost vertically down onto the green and stop.....short sided on a green.. no probs......just play a nice chip with open face and the ball stops within 2 ft from its initial contact patch when every other shot would have went 6/10 ft past....with you only having a 58 as your highest lofted wedge your short game and bunker play is always going to be sub-optimal.. you don't have sufficient control over the ball...... your ball flight is always too low. .......your ball always rolls too much........too many times having to bump and run through unknown reaction fringe rough & there4 most often than not having too long a birdie putt or find it harder to make those essential pars to score low........do you use a number system for your wedges from under 100 metres.. P.S. i would start using mtrs instead of yards.. its so much harder to extract exact information required than when using old stupid uk based system and most if not all eu courses will be in mtrs.............. u need to devise a number clock system for your wedges so eg pw = 100%=100m.... 90%= 90 mtrs, 80% =80=mtrs then 70%, 60% etc.. do this on all your wedges and irons right down to distance at 10% .. then put all the info onto a chart and you'll see graphically so many different choices to play the same distance eg pw 50%=50m, 52 deg@60%=50m, 56 deg@80%=60m & 64 deg @100%=60m.... you'll find next time that when u have a 60 m shot you'll know that you have 4 different wedge shot choices or even more as a 7 iron @30% could be 60 m as well . This will be the only way your short game can drastically improve. total information, total knowledge and total control over any distance < 100m.........pitching= you need to open your stance, aim left of pin slightly and fade the ball in onto the flag meaning ball stop quicker due to higher ball flight as well as cut spin....... putting...... all your balls look too white...i don't think you have any guide lines on them to help with aiming... my tip is to put a line on all of them that has an arrow pointing on the end of the line...my routine = mark ball, look for line of putt, estimate break, put ball down with arrow pointing to tip of the arc required, bend down with putter out streched horizontally down line of arrow to where ball line is actually aiming, readjust ball line as required.... then practise swing using number clock system to estimate length of back stroke and number of length of forward swing...... memorize the feeling......memorize the numbers... then good to go... if i did a 3 back /4 forward and ball went too short then for same length putt next time i'll do a 3 back /5 forward ..... i try and number with less back swing and more forward swing to get a sharper hit to the ball thats more consistent.. on nearly all your putts i dont see any practise swings and you have a putterhead recoil after you have reached the end of your putting swing which brings in an element of inconsistency that provides greater error in judgement ......its almost as if you are changing the power you give to the shot on how you feel after you have hit it with the varying recoil being your tool of split second adjustment at the end of the shot...... feel should only be used in putting on the practise shot.. after that its just about executing the practised numbers to max efficiency......other thoughts... ever though about blades?? they're awesome!!... getting a shaft fitting to understand the right frequency for your swing could help as well.... have a look at this chart...............
us.v-cdn.net/6024507/uploads/ipb/monthly_07_2011/post-108063-0-71738100-1311024637.jpg
By just moving from DGS300 fcm = 5.5 to 6.5 (titleist blades with project x 6.0) then my game yet again totally changed.. tight dispersion, much straighter shot shape and much more boring trajectory to target...have you had a shaft frequency test done... u probably have but if not then maybe something to look into to get more performance.....a stiff shaft could be anything from a 5.2 to 6.1 so quite a gap............. thanks for all the hard work you put into your golf channel. ....the quality is a very high standard due to your editing skills, content variety and your huge enjoyment of the game., so thanks for opening the world of kl to me ...best of luck for the rest of the year... ttfn.... steve from murcia in spain
Great video Gen I'm playing tomorrow hope to put some of your wise advice into play and have a good round of golf happy golfing from down under 😊👍
Beautiful textbook swing!
Love your comments, laughs and smiles Gen. Love watching your vlogs that inspire my game. Go well Gen😊
Woww hitting it so clean Gen! Love the purple shot tracer too 💜💜💜
Great commentary on course management and strategy. Personally I find golf is best enjoyed like chess, trying to out-think the opponent (the course designer) in a war with 18 separate match play battles in which par is just a draw, it takes birdie or better to win and anything over par a loss you forget about using the rest of the hole for practicing shaped shots you might not risk in stroke play to protect a handicap rating. Scoring is easier-just count pars and birdies. 😂 What I find helps for very uphill or down hill putts is to stand on my planned line behind the ball for uphill or in front for downhill when visualizing and making my practice strokes. I find it programs my reflexes to put a bit more or less on the strike and I started leaving the ball closer to the hole after starting to do it. Not and original idea, just something I read years ago in a golf book (Nicklaus?) 😊tried and it worked!
when I watch, I learn. Thanks
Woooo!. Great round. 👍
New nickname: “Laser” Ling!

You sure did make that look easy👍
thanks Gen, good round!
Great round
awesome shot at the 12th.... what is the green fee at this course?
Good vlog, Gen, but I have a question, "How do you decide which part of the tee box to hit from?" Thank you, keep up the good work. 😊
Watermelon. Great video Gen.
You are ready for the LPGA! .... Believe it!
🍉When you are editing, do you have ha! moments! meaning, that hey, I should have played this hole that way. Since you play the same course pretty often, do you stick to a certain strategy if you are going for scoring that day? I know you change your routine to practice different clubs and feel things, but to put yourself into a tournament setting, do what do you do on course you play often. Do you use your yardage book and mark your reference?
🍉 😊 Also, downhill lie, ball tends to go right and short? Hope to know if I'm right or if I'm wrong this whole time hahahaha this could help me improve my game 😊
Hi Gen! 😀😃
Hi Diane! 🤓😎

I think you should mark your ball before cleaning it. Just dont want you to have this bad habit in competitions. 😊
Gen 1 Stroke Penalty she moved her Ball lol on Hole 1
Hey Gen... I wonder if random sheep would eat watermelon? I bet they would... Best of luck in Germany... ☠✌🍉🐑
Watermelon!
Watermelon 🍉🤓
Watermelon 🍉
Worst golf rules! What do you wish you could change? Hole 17 made me think of this: 1. Can’t move out of a divot on the fairway 2. Lines on balls 3. Removing the flag. Last two I would make illegal just so people would play faster. Pros like you might not care but for me the slow pace often ruins golf.
Amateur male golfers hits around your distance. I beg to differ. 😅😅😅
🍉 😂
downhill lie-it doesn't lie !
*watermelon* ;-))
watermelon
Downhill lie makes ball come out lower? Delofts whatever club you have.
