Always enjoy your content Gen. This might have been one of my favorites. This was a tough round for you because you struggled with your short game, which I believe is the strength of your game.
Your followers appreciate your honesty, sharing the good and bad of your golf journey. What I admire most about you is your attitude. Smiling even when it’s not your best round.
Gen, amazing how you can stay positive under these circumstances. You're a great professional. Keep grinding.
Read a lot about the lab df3 putter as I am very interested in getting fitted for one! One of the main issues seems to be distance control from outside 10 ft…
Just love watching you play and hearing your comments Gen
Well done making it through the cut anyway
It always amazes me how tiring emotions can be! Slow greens can be difficult to adjust to, as we all have some sense of how hard we need to hit the ball for putts of certain distances and really slow greens push us past our comfort level in terms of adjusting. This happened to me a few weeks ago and despite striking the ball well, my score blew up because I hit 40 putts; I just couldn't get the ball to the hole!
On the bright side, that was a really beautiful course, I saw some pretty birds (snowy egrets?), and playing the third round meant you made the cut!
Keep at it you will get it. I got faith in you.
When a sense of putting speed leaves you, it's scary. 25-35 footers are no longer guaranteed 2 putts but lead to 4-5 foot knee knockers.
Your swing is still awesome.
Hang in there and better days will come! Putting can be so hard and slow greens can do your head in.
13:28 You can see the ball bouncing there. This is where it lost speed and didn't reach the hole. So why did it bounce?
My guess: The green is so soft that you need to have a different strike. Not slightly up but down on the ball. This way the ball starts rolling immediately on those softer greens. But it's just a guess from afar. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thank you for sharing, Gen! You’re a consummate pro, and I have no doubt that with your skill set and dedication, you’ll make the right adjustments for the next tournament. Keep trusting your process-you’ve got this!
She's close to 50K. Just hit the button.
Come on Gen, chin up, shoulders back, chest out and on to the next Championship, which you WILL win! 🏆
Gen,
its Golf !
" The shorter or wayward the shot, the longer the excuse ".........You played well and great sporting spirit ! HAPPY GOLFING.
People forget just how hard this game is!
😂😂Sometimes you just have to laugh..
Putting can be frustrating 🙃
But to me it looks like your alignment isn’t constant the same or often off. Your shoulder line seems always left of (open to) target and your feet often closed to target 🧐
Stiky sticky greens. You battled hard and the round never caught light. Well done for not getting mad.
This is Golf, this is life.haha
I feel for you Gen, in my opinion, as you stated, there is a natural feeling where you just can't hit it any harder when putting without losing any semblance of control. It makes for a long frustrating day.
First time I’ve ever seen you lose control of your mental game 😮
You exude confidence, with every club, and especially in your short game. But you gave up very early in this round … blaming the speed of the greens, you lost confidence, got out of your routine.
We all do it.
It happened to me yesterday. I wasn’t making anything, then I started blaming the pace of play, and began rushing (lost focus).
But that’s usually what separates professional golfers from us mere mortals.
Keep your head up, Gen
… always.
And … keep smiling. 😁
Remember, golf is FUN!
Nothing more frustrating than making the same mistake over and over. Hang in there, it's just a little bump in the road!
Slow greens are so hard just spent a week in Turkey golf and had the same problem. Feel for you as you are such a steady putter normally
7.4 green speed is not set up for a pro tourney. This course layout is nice. Game of fine margins. Thanks for sharing all days with us, win is just round the corner, keep grinding Gen 🙏
LOL. At my age if I shot your round here I would be buying drinks at the club house.
Enjoyed your content. I would not be too tough on myself for missing a few of those putts. The distance you were putting from has a putting make rate of 25% so it's ok. Look for the positives. Cheers
I was really concerned when I watched this!! I thought: Oh no! Gen is getting so stressed she’s developed a speech impediment in the form of a pronounced stammer! ☹️☹️
Then I realised the tournament sponsor was Da Da Digital!! Silly me.
Keep going Gen, no surrender!! 💪💪
I think it is probably more difficult to adjust to conditions on this tour. The lpga does a good job of setting up courses more consistently. That being said the ability to adjust week after week seems to be yet another skill that separates talented club players from the touring pro.
The Putting, that was down to grass, grain, rain and maybe expecting faster greens in tournament golf. Stick in there.
in the spirit of really wanting to see you do well...
I still think when you go to Taiwan and play your practice rounds you make it a point to leave everything long. If you don't pick it up and hit it again (it is a practice round) until you leave it long. If you have take a 3 foot backswing to do it so be it (you won't need to). It's more mental at this point
Also muscle memory is playing a part. You keep leaving it short because you keep leaving it short. You have to force yourself out of it
With slow greens, blade putters with thin grips work better, allows you to use a bit more wrist to get the ball to the hole. Having said that I think it’s time to go back to your old swing coach, if your proximity to the hole or even GIR are average you can’t score at tour level standards.
Golf is life, eh?
This reminds me of a retired old fart I was paired up with at our local course. He carried two putters, a rusty trusty blade and a heavier mallet. His retired machinist pal finished both faces the same and he fiddled with the weights so they both had 30* toe hang.
Naturally, I had to ask him why.
He explained how in the afternoon the greens on the ridge would dry out, while the ones in the swale would stay moist and shag up a bit.
He one or tap-in two putted every hole switching between putters.
I left every putt short down in the swale holes.
I am intrigued by the strange attire worn by the caddies. What is the reason for this?
In countries like this the caddies cover up. Something about respecting the players and not bringing attention to themselves.
Hey Gen, any chance this new putter is creating too much back spin? 🤔. Can experiment making contact on the upward portion of the stroke. Just an observation
hit it, find it, hit it again! No dwelling on past shots whether short or long. You know your distances, them's the breaks. That's why pro golfers rely so much on having the same caddy week in week out who knows their game
It just was not your week Gen. Don't beat yourself up over it.
I think it's time, Gen. What do you call the device with bristles attached to a long handle used to sweep up floors?
Slow greens are horrible, extremely hard to adjust to.
Thanks for posting. Tough watch 8-/
This is me, Carnoustie a few years back.
How did pink shirt do?

Malaysia 🇲🇾 bangga dan sayangkan kamu
Go go go
Heartbreaking. Time for a break. In order to perform your best, you need to play in a good mood, in a game you enjoy.
Didn't see that in this video.
think the putting short was getting in your head a bit...
Self fore filling prophecy..
but the rest of the round was good.
Well done
Why you change the way you grip your putter everyday???????? Tsk Tsk Tsk 😂😂😂
You probably will never read this but how about playing with a harder ball so that you don't have to force your putts so much.
Golf is tough but at you have a great swing. You are so smooth & love your follow through.Im older and not as flexible as you.Your swing is so impressive….the mind sometimes gets in the way of a great swing. Many positive wishes Genevieve .
How are you liking the LAB putter?
Hello, so the caddies are just provided for you , you dont get to have your own?
