Hey CLK Team and PJ and his “personal camera crew and key checker” lol. I have been charging the mid range price room $4.05-$6.25 per key, depends on the key and up to about $15.65 for a specialty key like a C123. I don’t deal with Medeco but a company I was working for was charging about $23.00 for a bass key….and another I was working for a long time ago was charging the banks about $35.00 for a safety deposit box key (flat cut) and some were even just a plain Jane SC1-SC4 keyway….As always from you and your team and other comments, a very informative video…#Lockboss

My response lately when people call me to cut a single key has been to suggest they go to the hardware store because it's cheaper. I don't have a shop, so it's not worth my time to meet someone for $5. I will go out of my way to help someone though if the hardware store can't get the key they need. I think keys should be $10 each at least. Anything less is not even relevant or worth the time these days.

Good discussion today. You need to cover your costs and make a profit when setting prices. You don't want to leave money on the table by undercutting your major competitors too much, but you may also not want to appear to gouge. And of course, everything depends on how busy you are as well. #lockboss
Doing only lockouts.. I keep my inventory to basically zero… I do get requests to make keys… I have a pinning kit.. so I may Repin existing locks in a house to existing keys…👍#lockboss
