- ARIS are one of the most important clubs in Greece. After four years in the lower divisions they've climbed their way back to the Greek Superleague.
We went to Thessaloniki to see how the Ultras of ARIS, SUPER3, hosted their first derby in nearly five years against rivals PAOK.
From hosting friendships, creating TIFOS, organising Pyro, the ultras give us a behind the scenes look at how they prepare for this historic fixture.

I'm from Greece, and I really like that in Europe you can literally sit next to someone from another team and cheer for your team and he for his, or both for both teams.

These Ultras are the types I like."Crazy but the right amount of crazy" Is the best way to sum them up. I love amazing atmospheres but I draw the line when things get physical or someone gets hurt.Banter is great and taking the piss out of the opposition fans but don't hurt someone.These guys not only created an extremely intimidating atmosphere but to add to it these guys are more than just football Ultras but genuinely caring people for their community. Which is proven by them going to that girls volleyball game to show support, and that was probably my favorite part from the video not the atmosphere or a y of the actual football but to see genuine caring people, showing the world you don't have to be crazy or a piece of shit to count as an ultra

This is the spirit! I'm a lifelong BVB supporter but I also go to my local club Bonner SC..when the club had to withdraw his men's team for a whole season in 2010, we were supporting our U19 youth team..also on all away games. It was a marvelous experience not because of the quality of the football but because we had such a fun just cheering and singing for our club, our colours! After the peak of the economic crisis in Greece, Ultras scene flourished and radicalized, combine that with really bad police measures and bad police work in general and there you go, you have almost unstopable ultras movement going stronger every year all over Greece. Wherever there is an country with bad economy etc, Ultras scene will be strong there, take south America for the example... Ultras scene is just the reflection of many other things that are happening in one country.
