And this one too Sue. Beautifully done and very moving. I've never known of it carried out so well and, opposite the battles themselves, the peace. Thank you. Now for a much needed cuppa! Take care. Love, Pam
Morning Sue 👋 great video, the music and wet weather really add to the sense of history 💝 love miss Narky Knickers 😂, great park up that one 👍 looking forward to catching up to date with other videos, stay well 🌞CMW 🚶🚶🚶
Hi there, yes the weather was actually perfect for the battlefield visit. I didn't mind a day or so in the van its very cosy and made me switch off and read, etc. Take care, Sue 😊
Hi there. We found the Culloden site really atmospheric and the exhibits and information at the visitor centre was very well presented. it was early days of our channel when we were there and we forgot to film anything of our visit!! Great way to spend a wet day - watching other RUclips channels. we are having a wet day in the van so catching up as well. Enjoy your trip.
Hi thanks for watching and commenting, I agree so interesting and atmospheric. It was love being able to use some of the van time to catch up with RUclips, and I think it's always good to support other channels 👍. Hope the weather brightens for you and you have a good trip. ATB, Sue.
Hi John, ha that’s great! I hope you enjoy them! I’m itching to get out there again properly just trying to work a few things out before I can. Van time is amazing. ATB, Sue.
It looks like Culloden is being added to to the list of places to visit next time we are North of the border. Perfect use of soggy days, editing and RUclips. Talking of which, thanks for the plug Sue xx
Lovely seeing the contrast between your cosy van in the rain and the beautiful, sad bleakness of Culloden. You really captured the atmosphere of the place. Take care 🧙♂️🐶xx
Great to see you out and about In Scotland. Shame about the weather but it does keep those midges away. We just had 5 days in Norfolk. Fantastic weather despite forecast being rain. Cheers from old George and Jane 👫👍🤠🇬🇧
Hi, it was great to finally get on the road to and around Scotland. I only wish I could get back there. No midge problems at all. Rain was the worst on these 2 days, I had some good weather too. ATB, Sue.
Nicely filmed Sue, and your choice of music is perfect at the battlefield. Something cozy about sitting in the Van's when its raining, even with all the noise outside which seems to happen in lots of other Vlogs at Caravan sites. Looking forward to your meet up with other RUclipsrs.👍
Fabulous historic Vlog Sue, and amazingly presented. Culloden is probably the only battle site for me yet to visit. (Bucket list) It was all drummed into me at a young age, that's what happens when your parents are Scottish!! Still 🤣🤣 at Miss narky knickers. Keep up the great work with vlogs and safe travels 😊
Hi John, I hope you’re well. Thanks for such lovely comments. Hope you get to do Culloden soon it’s definitely worth it. I can imagine with Scottish parents you’ll be well versed in it all!! I also have Scottish heritage on my Mum’s side (Campbell Clan). Take care, ATB Sue 😊
What a great place to visit Sue……so interesting but also so very sad when you learn the facts of such battles. Glad to see you making the most of the poor weather in the van 😉 And looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip xx
Yeah it's good that visits like these make you read up a bit beforehand and after, wards things you otherwise probably wouldn't know. The van is so cosy when it rains, I'd love to get out all year round in it. See you soon xx
I loved that! Your photographic skills are amazing. Thought the stuff on Culloden Moor was quite moving. Can't wait for next time... a site by the sea!
Thanks for the mention 😊 You did a good job filming Culloden battlefield and conveying the emotion of the place. What is it with Caravan and Motorhome Club Sites and their power tools! Good to see you enjoying being away in Vanya even in the rain. Take care 🚐❤️👍🙂
Hi both, you’re welcome! Thanks for the positive feedback re. the battlefield. Until I was there I hadn’t thought about it as a war grave which made it even more sombre. I now know that getting away in the van solo is what I enjoy, rain or shine … and either sites are getting noisier or I’m getting narkier … or possibly both!? 🤷♀️❤️👍 x
Hello Sue, the battleground film was so well done, very moving. Best bit for me was seeing how cosy your van looked in the rain, even on a CAMC site - they do love a mower/power tool/tractor trailer for the bins on those sites don’t they! Looking forward to the next one - onwards!
Hi Jane, how are you and how's the van coming along? I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Don't get me started on site noise though - even at Loch Ness they escorted every new arrival to their pitch by a big loud quad bike! Take care, Sue x
@@CamperVanya When we camped in France and Italy, the staff moved around the site silently on electric buggies including bin collection etc. I’ve been on Caravan club sites where the warden has chugged around towing his trailer to collect bins at 8am, bang goes your holiday lay-in. Don’t get me started on the perpetual grass cutting either! I know they always look immaculate, but I would sacrifice neat grass for a bit of peace and quiet. I have news about my van, but will email you. Keep on keeping on mate x
Hi Sue! The battlefield site looked really interesting. Shame about the weather for your stay there! Looking forward to seeing more of that parkup at the end👍 Looks fantastic!
Thanks Des, yes the next parkup was a wild camp which I was itching to do, really was quite wild too by the sea on the Moray coast. Battfield definitely interesting if you get a chance you should visit 👍. ATB, Sue.
Amazing as always Su, look forward to your uploads, thank you for sharing your journey. Definitely one for our travelling bucket list. So emotional.... can drown in the history available to us without a passport (as yet😉) Just fab! ..#keepingthestreamalive
Great vlog Sue! Your choice of music on the battlefield was very atmospheric. At the drums I could imagine the men going into battle 😥 We visited the Jacobite Memorial last year. Maybe you do too? I’m working my way through the vlogs 👍🏻 It looks like you wisely used your time on those wet days, of course with a little tipple 🤣 Looking forward to the next instalment! Much love, Mrs Slaw xx
I tried to balance exploring with chilling and sometimes the weather does make you do that. I hadn’t thought about Culloden as an actual war grave until I went which made the visit much more moving, so I’m glad I managed to capture that in the video. Thanks for watching 😊 xx
We have Culloden marked as one of our many places to visit when we go to Scotland…We are going to need a few months there at this rate. Another great vlog, thank you 👍😃
Thanks for watching. There’s so much to see that I would say take your time and don’t rush it. I’m going to be returning to Scotland over and over there’s so much to see 😍 x
Beautiful video of Culluden Moor battleground, the music was hauntingly moving. I think your an amazing lady and your husband would be proud of you. Re the fish, you could have grilled that or cooked on the hob, I quite often steam it. Keep going x
Hi Teresa, lovely to read your lovely comment. Glad you enjoyed the video and I hope I did the battleground justice. Yes, I suppose I could have bought some fish but to be honest I didn’t want the van smelling of it haha. Hope you’re good. ATB, Sue x
Lovely music at the battlefield and so sad to hear of such loss of life. Pasta n sauce, I used to love them. Obviously can't eat them now I have the old coeliac disease. You had good reception watching all that RUclips lol. Lovely birdsong in the morning too.
A really moving visit to Culloden, glad you liked the video. I also keep some of those pasta n sauce thngs and similar in the van for times like that. Yeah, thank God the reception wasn't as bad as the weather haha 👍 x
Lovely vlog Sue, always driven past Culloden on way North west but think I’ll give it a go. Looks really interesting. Up there in a couple of weeks, can’t wait. Not long now and will be following in your footsteps xx
