That male doll is Allen… I actually have him. And I’m 67 years old, I played with them all, Skipper,Midge, Allen, Scooter, Barbie, Ken, etc.

I never heard of Allen. I'm 68 and had Barbie and Midge. Wasn't really interested in Ken at the time.
We had Francie and Casey. Does anyone remember them? They had a carrying case. I’m 61.

Hey Kayla and Matt, your video made my day after yesterday I had to put my 14 year old cat to rest after cancer claimed her. It's never easy to lose a beloved pet. They take a piece of my heart every time. Love y'alls videos so much!!

I'd like to be able to say I'm a Barbie expert, but I'm definitely not there yet, but as ppl have already mentioned, u probably should've got the whole thing. I would suggest that when u find at least one or 2 that u know are older (and as we're all learning, the date on the back is meaningless), I would just pick it all up. Another rule of thumb I'd suggest is that typically African American dolls are almost always gonna be more valuable and I have also found that even brunette dolls are typically more valuable than ur standard blonde Barbies because there were less made in a lot of the cases. Just my 2 cents, guys! Luv the videos ✌️💜✌️💜

The black barbie with the short red hair is Julia...the nurse off of the TV show Julia...her hair is not cut, it was short style...yes she is a real barbie...came in a nurse dress, or also a gold & silver jumpsuit..I am 64 & still have mine...most of them barbies were old ones.
I came to say this. I recently sold just Julia’s head and torso for $40 on eBay. The lot of dolls sold for $50 blew my mind!
I have sold Barbie legs and arms before. People use them for repair. Just a thought. Great video as usual.

Lol. My older sister got the original Barbie…. The next year I wanted one from Santa. But my parents told him we would get the dolls mixed up. So I go Madge…. Madge always knew she wasn’t Barbie. I still haven’t forgiven Santa……😇

I actually had the 63 Barbie, with her best friend Midge and little sister, Skipper. Had a carrying case, with a compartments/drawer to put shoes and accessories, and compartment to put dolls in.
Also had the white plates with flowers on it. My ex-husband took the set in our divorce settlement, some thirty five years ago.

Louis Marx also makes regular dolls. They made lots of western type but one doll they made that I have is a walking doll from the 60's called Miss Toddler. She is hard plastic and rubber. Very cute She is big
Have you ever shopped at a Goodwill wholesale store. Everything is in bins and you buy by the pound. I was in one in Arizona and found some valuable things. I live in New Hampshire and we have one here. Lots of fun
I sold my entire barbie collection In 1968 for 13 dollars...I thought I was rich!
Had a huge collection I had saved when I was a kid . When I was 18, I was at work and my mom gave them away. I had all of them all dressed up in an old roller skate case. There were my sister's in there too, probably 25 to 30 dolls. I cried and was so mad, my mom gave them to lady she worked with kids. I told her she should have asked me. I would have given some away, but some were sentimental.😟

I literally have the wild flower set by corelle as my current plate and bowl set that we use in our house regularly lol My grandma passed away a few years ago and I got all of her kitchen stuff. These plates bring my fond memories of her feeding me as a child. Maybe I should put them away and stop using them daily LOL!

6:49 Limoges is pronounced like Lee Moge. It’s French. The S on the end is silent and the ge has a zh sound. Hard to explain but you can find pronunciations online if you are interested.
I have”Tonto” in his original Indian attire and Trigger, the Lone Ranger’s horse and his saddle… it’s pretty cool. Had them for years… can’t tell you where I got them from, couldn’t have paid much if I picked them up at a garage sale. I used to go “ garage selling” when my kids were small all the time. When everything back then we’re 25 and 50 cents! Those were the days. I actually went to one today,. It was fantastic! Most everything was 25 and 50 cents. They still exist around here! Absolutely love where I live!

I always grab "all things Tiki"....usually get them cheap....some things sell for big money.....if you find items stamped "KOA" (pronounced KO ah) that's considered royal Hawaiian wood and that is "Big Bank"
Kayla, that Western female doll with the Barbie dolls, is the 11th sought after doll. Comps we found went from $30 to $100. My husband and his sister used to have the set. Her name was Jane West. My husband was trying to talk you into buying all the Barbies if even for parts once he saw that. Lol

The doll in the blue western wear that you left behind was Josie West by Marx Toys.. I’ve sold her before, she has quite a bit of value! Anything with Marx on it is almost always a pick up.
