My 25 year old conure just left me this morning.... we had 25 wonderful years together... watching this makes me miss her all the more and she has only been gone a few hours... ... thank you for making me smile... with memories.
From other ringneck videos on RUclips, I see similar behavior - touching beaks, and repetitive noises again and again during the interaction. Yet the wild ringnecks never seem to do this stuff with each other.
I am playing Maui and Marni's videos for my parrakeets, they don't know quite what to think. :) Haha! I am trying to get them to talk too and they are looking at me, like "what?"
I NEVER get tired of this great video...I absolutely LOVE Maui's ADORABLE, squeaky & "happy enthusiasm"....He sure is one busy little guy, eh...I also think his eyes are simply G O R G E O U S....Thanks for sharing this and giving me a reason to SMILE... :-)
Birds have amazing emotions. My red lored actually cried and became testy when we lost a dog. When I was in mourning for my Mom, he actually wouldnt leave my side and insisted on staying on my shoulder repeatedly saying "awww, awww, awww".He always knew when Mom would call. How he knew this, I dont understand. The phone would ring and he would say "Hi Mama". If I didnt give him the phone to speak to her, he would scream. After she passed, he never did that again. He knew
Just inherited an Indian Ringneck and he really misses his "mama" who's passed on recently. He has been withdrawn, depressed, and a bit testy at times,understandably so. when i decided to play this video for him....boy did he immediately become animated and super curious about who the other birdie was. enjoying the video for the past 2 hours now.....thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!!!

phb2911 I always get annoyed when some people correct that. Both are legit and anyone can use either if they like. I’m a Brit and prefer “color”. The ‘u’ seems so unnecessary.
