Ironic. COMMUNISM is the threat. It's religion. Not some political opinion.
If you analyse the overall history of Indian communism, the amount of falsehood and hypocrisy you will notice will be baffling.
1. The party which doesn't believe in religion, has done shameless appeasement to certain religions and constantly bashed the sentiments of Hindu people.
2. During the partition of Bengal, communists openly supported the partition and left Hindus ( minority then in Bengal ) in a hopeless position and which eventually instigated the great Calcutta killings.
3. They talk about empowerment of labours, the industrial zone across the Ganges belt of West Bengal, which used to be known as the Manchester of India, has now been turned into ruins. Instead of empowerment, labours faced the wrath of unemployment.
4. Students of the state government schools of West Bengal didn't have any exposure of English until they come to the 5 th standard. This single step betrayed an entire generation of students.

You mean USSR. It was feudal poor agricultural state in 1920 got easily defeated by German empire. Till 1950 due to communism it became modern industrialist superpower. From Feudal agriculturist state to Modernised Industrial nuclear superpower. It's military strength became double the USA. And at its peak had 45000 nuclear weapons. Defeated the superpower of WW2 Nazi Germany. Nazi Germany concentrated 85% of military in eastern front still got defeated. USSR's power and influence was unchallenged till 1979 due to Brezhnev's miscalculation of war which led to failure and due to Gorbachev's capitalist reforms which broke Soviet Union. Same story goes for China.
