bruhhh.. this vidoe was posted on the EXACT day I got my nissan xterra - 2 years ago!
Now I am looking on how to change her fluids,
Man! How time flies!!
Muy bien video, gracias. Creo que los que tenía XTerra, y nos gusta, encontraremos muy valiosa esta info. Gracias
Not for 2004 xterra trans mounts block two bolts on pan. Any advice on easy way to get to it
Jack/support and pull the mount and get the bolts?
I am in the process of trying to do this and ran into the same stupid design of making bolts inaccessible because of the mount. I've read that a 10mm ujoint socket is the trick but even if that works getting it off I think it will be exponentially harder getting the bolt back on without stripping threads so i think I'm going to attempt to remove that cross bar and mount. In this video that cross bar and mount aren't there so they removed as well. They just forgot to mention that step. LOL
What is the correct type of transmission fluid ?
Dexron 3
How much do you put in? No listed amount in the owners manual and ive rewd online forums 4-8qt
I just changed mine tranny fluid and only measured 2.50 quarts.
@@greenace9686 you didnt get all the fluid out. Think about the torque converter and cooler lines
Here: www.clubxterra.org/threads/transmission-fluid-capacity.1290/
Its also in the Haynes Car Manual.
Does anyone know how many quarts of transmission fluid I need for my 2004 xterra also the best kind
Mines an 03 so maybe 4.3 L
i have an 01 xterra and i cannot get the bolt closest to transmission mount out and cannot find any service bulletins on the transmission service. the socket wont reach and its to small for a wrench! help
Thanks
What tools are needed for this?
As for Mileage..At what time should you change out the Fluid?
I change it every 80k
50k-60k
Every 4th oil change in my acura so 12k an on my x every 8th oil change so 24k overkill but cheaper than replacing transmissions
In the haynes book it says every 30k miles brother
I would think a very reputable brand like Haynes would not be lazy to use a robot voice but they really make you feel like the actual book with the step by step instructions no extra details or anything. I would rather watch 1Aauto
No one cares
@@ImJhark_ then why reply with an ahole response?
Does this work for a manual transmission?
