I'm so glad I was a teenager during the 80's. It was indeed a magical time. There were so many bands with incredible musical talent that I still absolutely love to this day.

I get these guys are metal vocalists, but they are the rock PROS and LEGENDS vocally! Not to mention, that Steelheart was basically a one hit wonder with this song, and the above singers have a multitude of rock and metal hits that speak for themselves.
One of the best ballads ever written and an amazing singer!!! Take notice...no lip-sync like everyother music act out there...the genuine article!!! And the album wasnt polished to the nines to get that voice to stand out...what he does in studio as is on stage!!
So sad what happened to this band. Just at the height of their music career tragedy struck when front man Miljenko Matijevic was crushed by an unsecured light tower on Halloween 1992 in Denver, Colorado. He survived death but, had many facial injuries that took him 30 years to heal and get back to the front man of Steelheart. Awesome singer and glad he's back in action. Today's music isn't the same. Even though this jam came out in 1990, the 80's hair bands ruled!!! Best ballads ever!!! Glad I grew up then...
It didn't take him 30 years. And Mike's only concern after he pulled the lighting truss down on himself was warning the paramedics if they cut his hair to stitch him up he would sue them lol! What a knucklehead he was back then!
