Black Myth Wukong Ch.6 Ending Cutscene In Depth Explained | True Ending & More

I made a mistake in the [BMW All 5 cutscene] video, so I'm here to clear the record.
Journey to the West is a story that takes place in the Tang dynasty, but it is meant to satirize the Chinese bureaucracy back in the Ming dynasty, not the Tang dynasty. The author was born in the Ming dynasty and he wanted to use the past history to mock the times he lived in.

"Babe, wake up! Yugene dropped the good ending video!"
legit been waiting since the bad one.
Ifkr! I’ve been waiting for this for so long 😭
I hope this video makes you rich somehow. You put a lot of effort into this and I’m deeply impressed. No other comments, you deserve praise.
Thanks for the good wish and support
the moment i saw that this video was over an hour long i knew it was gonna be FIRE! thank you for all your hard work.
Hahah I love that the transformation battle was like "I'm gonna be a hawk!" "Well I'm gonna be a snake!" "Well I'm gonna be a crane!" ".....Well I'm gonna be a birb that F%*&'s birbs!" *Erlang visible sweating* 😂
感谢您对文化输出做出的贡献
Been waiting for this!! So excited to have you back!
"where is the horse? he did a lot of the leg work!" - that had me laughing, well done :))
难以想象这么长的视频下了多大的功夫,非常感谢你
尽在不言中吧。读书还是读得很开心的!
From a canadian who knew nothing about wukong or Journey to the west before this game, THANK YOU! Your videos have been very informative and helpful in understanding parts of the story and game better
1:43:53 Well, he lives up the title of "Handsome Monkey King" it seems
Yep, the actor Dicky Cheung said in an interview: "Most actors really focus on portraying a successful Monkey King, but it seems like no one portrays the image of another title from the original book, the Handsome Monkey King. So, the production company wanted me to also emphasize the 'handsome' aspect in my portrayal.
Thanks for all the research work you did for us! 👏
Thank you so much for this video!
So glad you came back with this video! Fellow cantonese speaker too HAHA
Thank you for putting so much effort into this video! It came out amazing!
Hey Yugene, you know the theme you mentioned that reminded you of your childhood at 1:40:36? I'm pretty sure that Game Science had actually paid homage to this theme. In the game, if you accumulate the maximum focus points needed for the wukong stance whilst having the full wukong armour set equipped, the destined one will plant the staff down, extend it high up in the air and slam down three times. When this animation is triggered, that theme song you mentioned actually plays. If you don't believe me, find this video: Black Myth Wukong - MAX LEVEL 342 Vs Bosses++++ NG+++ Gameplay (NO DAMAGE) (the thumbnail has the destined one against the yaksha king) and go up to the 20 second mark. I'm pretty sure that is the theme mentioned.
Also, really enjoyed this video. It was very interesting and fun to watch, especially when you made the joke about Spider-Ham!
I get the skill that you are saying, oh I was just not sure if that's from the 1996 JTTW. Lately I have been rewacthing the 1996 and 1998 JTTW, and I noticed the opening of the game is the same as the opening for the 1996 JTTW: Wukong going against the Celestial court and soldiers by himself
Thank you for your hard work and such a detailed explanation. I really appreciate it.
Yooo that was an awesome video. You're so charismatic and managed to keep me engaged throughout the whole video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I'm super excited for the next videos!!👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
The part where you become a mega monkey and fight the 4 kings is the coolest thing I ever seen in a video game
Im so grateful for this! Now i understand the true ending animation scene even more after watching this. Thanks you so much 🙏
Playing this game and watching your explained series really brought back a lot of great memories from my childhood.
I've been REALLY looking forward to this video!
Finally good ending video from you. Which is also longer than an hour, very well explained. Glad I came across this channel. Keep going!
Would you consider making a series of thorough tellings and analyses of Journey and other Chinese mythology? I’ve always been interested, but the books are thousands of pages and I just don’t have time for that. But I would have time to listen while washing the dishes and you seem to very well versed in the culture. I think many people here would show up
May I suggest a 2023 movie : Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms
It is the first to a soon to be released trilogy, about the mythology of 封神榜.
Maybe I will do an introduction video of The Investiture of the Gods. Nezha, Erlang, Lijing and a nine tailed fox are in it. It takes place many many years before Wukong's birth. Yea Nezha is old, don't get fool by his handsome and youthful look
After my initial playthrough of the game I read all of Journey to the West. It was nice remembering all of the stories as I watched your video. I especially appreciate the clarification about where the game differs from the book, especially in regard to Lady White Bone. I can understand why the Chinese don't like how the game changed it. That story is one of the most frustrating in the whole journey! After everything Wukong does to protect Tang Sanzang, how can he not trust Wukong?
Thanks for the great content! I watched JTTW when I was a kid and really appreciate the entertaining walkthrough on your channel.
Tysm for the time and effort you put into this video!
Thanks for all the content hardwork. U deserve more likes and subs.
Glad you’re back
fantastic video as always!! Keep up the great work
Thank you for the hard work! Can't wait to delve into this video.
The moment i saw it is 1 hour and 45 minutes, my instant thought was "This is gonna be a movie, i gotta bring my snacks and drinks in." Just you wait after i finish my class
A wonderful breakdown
Thank you for all your work, we really appreciate it 💜
Wooooo! Been looking forward to this video.
I started reading Journey to the West, and found translations for the additional books that served as inspiration for Game Science.
I just have one remark regarding Erlang. I’ve seen many people say that he was always part of Wukong’s plan, but to me, it felt more like he didn’t know until he beat Wukong and took the Mind relic with him. Only then did he start gaining awareness of Wukong’s true intentions, and how they align with his.
So what makes you think he was always part of Wukong’s plan?
Wow, incredible explanations. I feel like I'm reading the book! 👏🏼
Amazing work. 🎉❤
finaly i waited for your video since the bad ending one
New subscriber this went crazy
I have been looking forward for this!
Question 2: in the world of wukong who is God? Like the big boss, the shot caller, the God with the G
Yes! We the vietnamese have seen the 1986 Journey To The West! ❤
And if you let a asian kid who grew up in the 80s and 90s listening to just the small bit of the important part of the 1986 version song then they will immediately say: "Sun Wukong!"😊😊😊
I still get childhood tears listening to it over and over again. 😢😢😢
Haha we all love the theme song. I had goosebumps when I heard it played when the huge monkey transformed into the Great Sage's Broken Shell
até que enfim lol
muito bons seus vídeos !!!!
Been waiting for this since the other vid
Indonesian watched 1996, 1998 & God of Honour too! Although the local version title wasn't Journey to the West but "The Mighty Monkey King" and localized cool intro/opening with a rap.
Those 3 are my first gate for Journey to the West & playing Black Myth Wukong sent me to that childhood.
Oh I didn't know that, ha learned something new today. Do you have a link to the rap intro you mentioned
My 8yo daughter watched me play a bit and had so many questions about the story. I showed her some of your other videos and she loved them!
Glad to hear she enjoys the Journey to the West story, and thanks for the support
Crazy how a video game can bring Chinese mythology to so many people. It is a good thing western audiences have been exposed to this wonderful story.
Insane! Love it!
I have been waiting!!!!!
thank you work
Erlang was like, "Oh no!!! not today!!!"
Good Job!
When you said analyzing the true ending was going to be longer, I was not expecting one hour and forty five minutes long. 😅
Oh well. I bought some snacks for this.
I just got the true ending yesterday. Perfect timing on this video 😂
Budget constraint is gonna be foreign to game science moving forward
I am so excited to see what they do next!!
I know what I’m listening to at the gym tomorrow.
Bless this video
Thank you!
说的好。太棒了
16:16 so wukong was willing to do a repeat of the Set vs Horus fight from Egyptian mythology.
🤪I'm gonna look it up lmao
Wukong has better moves than I do at the club. Someone get him a DJ
Just in time where game of the year voting was opened. Just voted for this goated game
Tang Sanzang was probably looking around at this ragtag band of misfits like: "Yo, Wtf man"
Lol probably, if you pay attention, Wukong, Bajie, Sandy all worked for the Celestial Court before, they were all government workers. Except the White Dragon Horse, he is a nepo baby, he is an outsourced contractor for this journey
Great video.
THANK YOU
Erlang was like, "Oh shit, not today!" so...another day will be ok??
Here's the keyboard ⌨, AO3 and Wattpad are waiting for you
10:36 Guardian: Sorry sir, your free trial has ended.
Wukong: I've subscribed to premium. And i will subscribe to your service as well.
Guardian: Understandable, have a nice day.
Guardian: if you can't deafeat him, join him
LOL im laughing so hard at 1-800-GUAN-YIN
I love you ❤️
Thanks so much for this!
The early 2000s Hong Kong remake of 齐天大圣 also has 孙悟空and 白骨精 as romantically involved for a brief time before 悟空 meets 姿兰.
Yes, Dicky Cheung also played Sun Wukong in a different work called: The Monkey King: Quest for the Sutra (2002) where Wukong has romantic affairs.
Wow Thank You girl
The game clicked so hard when I finally committed to it, such a satisfying game
感谢小姐姐辛勤的付出!
Everyone always critiques the Buddha for his “turning the other cheek” or “turning a blind eye” to these demons but you have to understand the full depth of Buddha-hood. Did you guys even read the novel? The entire novel is about second chances. TangZang constantly using the headband against Wukong isn’t him being a mean or horrible master worthy of hating. He is trying to teach Wukong the ways of Buddhism. No matter how evil or impure someone may be, who are we to cast judgement ? The entire novel is a lesson on spreading love. And love being the answer.
This is a popular novel, and most of the stories were not created by Wu Cheng'en
and in book tangzang cant teach wukong, only in tvb jttw, tang can teach wukong
I truly love this entire game of black myth Wukong even though I'm still playing it but knowing that the true good ending is a good thing for the sun wukong The Monkey King 👑 and the destined one
Finally! ❣️❣️
I know what i do in the next Hour. 😁😁
This must have taken so long to make and so stressful too
这个视频做得可太棒了!
I was wondering what that mural was at 8:36. It’s near the top of the pagoda realm, after you fight the captain and escape the mural will be a small bit ahead on the left.
Nice. I think it's like a recap of the Journey to the west story.
So you don't get the recap in the bad ending?
Yea. The bad ending does not have a recap animation so there's nothing to recap
SHE IS BACK
The pilgrimage with Yugene begins - will we reach the western paradise, is the Moonlight treasure Box/Pandora Box canon in this story, and will it take 14 years to get there?
We will soon find out.
thank you
Oh God, Bajie voice in english is not very good(to me)... lol... and damn girl you are glowing! but yeah already knew a lot of this stuff but might read an english version of the book someday since the danish one was very short. And thanks for the effort of making the video, must have taken a good while I imagine..
I don't feel anything to the English dub, but I'm glad Bajie's English roasts are just as on point as the Chinese ones
23:55 in the show he was referred to as “Third Prince” and in the game there was a character called third prince and he was found in chapter 3 where the great pagoda was at. So does that mean they are the same person?
No they are not the same person. The third prince in the pagoda, in Chinese we called him Xiao Zhang Tai Zi. He's in chapter 66 in the book
Well being the one who created Sun WuKong fansubs for the 1996 version. I know that they are subtitles. You might have to download the episodes. Of course I started this in 2008. So it has been a very long time ago. But I'm sure there are still out there. I didn't finish the job. But one of my translators, MissJade took over and they finish the whole show with Dicky. Another group did Benny's version. I liked Dicky in bot Journey to the west 1 1996 and Monkey King quest for the Sutra. Even though I had to watch a poor Dub for the second half of the show, since the subtitles were hard subbed to the vitmnese Dub. I didn't enjoy going from the beautiful Cantonese to the less nice sounding language. No offense to other races. But nothing like hearing Dicky do his thing. I still use that fake curse word 😅😂 pick-pock-ligalong-tic-thon. Wish I could have memorized the cow tongue twister but I couldn't do it. But loveed hearing it. Lame ending though.
curtain lifting general... omg. the celestial palace sure did have a way of making useless jobs seem important. just like large companies. or people in linked in when they try to make their call center job sound more important by calling it "customer communication and relations specialist"
You missed the part where he brought the peaches in a big giant bag for all the monkeys on the mountain..😂😂😂 so technically, all of them have a very long lives..
PS loves your content! Great explanation over all..
Yes, I left that part out to let the audience to do the reading themselves to find out
yes, the 1996 is the best one of all time for me
Question: why does wo kung allowed the headband? Why not kill the monk who handicapt you?
He was tricked into wearing it. He thought it was a pretty hat, and you know how Wukong love fancy clothings, he sees it, he likes it, he wears it, and boy it transforms into a headband once it is on his head
@yugenelhc ok. But why not kill the evil monk after the fact or FORCE the monk to release it?
@@ruairidhkoch7875 Because Tang Sanzang can recite the band tightening spell to put Wukong in pain, and there's no band loosening spell.
You've gotta watch the english dub version of the journey to the west. Its hilarious
I think I saw some clips a long time ago, and Wukong called one god "Michael". Lmao Michael!! That's a terrible translation! I need to find that clip
Also is not the 4th spider sister wukong love interest? Even the celestial court pelican tells wukong I’m going to turn her into a pill. She’s also helping the chosen one several times in stage 4.
Your channel is criminally underrated. I hope you stick with it and you could be come the new Vaati but for Black Myth. Looking forward to your lore vids for the next two installments!
I'd love a dlc where I could crash the Celestial Court to rescue the 4th sister.
Shes so dorky its fucking amazing❤❤
I really wish Sandy was in the game!
Yes!!!
Why is scene #8 lady white bone? Pretty sure she is the rat guai.
Eugeen lee, please more!
Is there any explanation on how white bone guai and wukong became lovers?
bmw based on 斗战神 based on wukongzhuan based on 大话西游
Have you ever read reverend insanity?
I do now. Thank you
