O, thank you, thank you, thank you so, so much for posting this! Wow! I remember evenings standing in Mandeville square waiting for my bus and this would be playing from the little record shop across the street. Sweeeet memories!
This is a track from the album "Dance The Ska, vol. III" on the IBC label, credited to Byron Lee's All Stars. Ken Lazarus' name is not mentioned. The recordings are from 1966/1967 and most of the tracks are in Rock Steady style.
Frederick "Toots" Hibbert born in May Pen, Clarendon, 1942 made and sang the original . Everyone else covered the tune, The Maytals own it. Big up for posting this version, stay Blessed
Greetings from Ottawa, where I also light a big fat spliff as it snows on April 23rd, and listen to this great tune while I lock up the windows! Thanks so much!

Hi no it looks like but in fact is Tony Verity broadcaster at Radio Jamaica (RJR) during the 1960s is the host of the documentary _ This is ska here ruclips.net/video/MY0LIlcN_2I/видео.html
Good, except that the picture does not correspond to the actual music. For one, the singer was Ken Lazarus who is only playing guitar in the picture but not singing. Nevertheless.. good footage here.
@@user-hi3lf7vk8j lt's actually Byron Lee and the Dragonaires, Ken Lazarus sang with them. I never said this was Toots, l said Toots did it originally. Maybe you should read things properly before trying to put people right.

The version by the Maytals was recorded in 1964, not 1962.
Toots did the original, Ken and Byron Lee covered the Maytals version.
años 30 dice haha
They sure danced quite stiff back then..
