I am in the market for a 12-16 foot aluminum boat for fishing and want to do the same types of mods to make it useful. Really nice simple, inexpensive yet very effective mods. Nice work. Very practical.

I own a 1460v as well and you have inspired me to convert her

It was that difficult to complete and makes a big difference when fishing. Thanks for watching.

that platform is AWESOME! You just doubled your space with that thing!!! My ADHD spotted that dog in the background! Adorable!!!! Having a good ole time rolling around! I think you can build anything! You have tricked out this boat! I LOVE seeing how you organize everything! 17mph!!! Holy cow that is awesome! I love Marie!!!! Speed is everything!!! ! Seeing Marie sitting up there fishing brought back great memories of my papaw on his bass boat! And the bloopers!!!! They are my FAVORITE!!!!

Thanks for watching. Harley likes to do pilates! She is usually in the videos at some point. Marie has an adventure streak in her and she has spent a lot of time on the boats.

Love the new mods. I recently purchased a Field and Stream bass boat. I'm glad to see this video. It gave me some ideas for my boat.

@@BikesBoatsBivouacs okay I'm debating whether or not to actually screw down my new deck into the seats in the front for now I can just remove it or even slide it to the back or middle section I bought the 3 prong rod holders on Amazon I will put those where you put them on the Bayshark 2 , I named my boat " the Eden " after one of my girlfriends haha also stole your milk crate idea for my anchor and ropes for the front

@@99fxgtjc I was nervous about fastening through the seats but in the end I did it. Good luck with your project.

I was watching you showing the deck you built, but got sidetracked and watched Harley Caroline when she started rolling on the grass! Haha. By the way, nice boat conversion, Scott! Haha.

Great video. I was brought here by seeing a Polar Kraft for sell in my area. Your work was right inline with what I want and need.
What do you think about putting a Long tail 13 hp on a boat similar like yours. Long tail would be 100 inches long?
I am not expirenced with boat motors but feel comfortable with lawn mower style motors.
Would an 6, 8 or 13 HP be enough for a 17 foot PK? I used it for River fishing and taking family out to see nature.
Appreciate the video and consideration of us Retired Marines that live on fixed incomes.
Lots of time on my hands and seeking my next " PaPa" project.
    You made my day!!!!!!

Thank you for your service. I would go with the higher horsepower. I never used that type of motor so I am unsure of the performance. If you want to see USMCR retired Colonel Bob (my dad) check out my Ket west playlist. He is featured in a number of videos. A Fly Rod in his hand is a great video with a great song. Thanks for watching

Wow what a great way to make it a bass boat. With all those poles do you have a cane pole?

Not bad need hummingbird fish finder. I would get a trolling motor with foot control for front. We did pretty much same thing with v hull Aluminum boat.
