Niel Gow’s Lament for the Death of His Second Wife

A beautiful tune by the great Scottish fiddle composer, Niel Gow. I’d like to dedicate it to my late friend, Phil Rubenzer, who contributed so much to Milwaukee’s Irish music scene. While Phil was more interested in Irish than Scottish music, I was practicing this tune for a gig at the local Highland Games when he passed, and I have associated it with him ever since. I played it last month when we scattered Phil’s ashes, and I thought I’d post it here as well.
