Second year Khadijah Mellah Scholarship students graduate

Eight more students recently graduated from our flagship Scholarship programme. This was the second year that we ran the course and we are so proud of everyone. Already one of our students is working in the industry at a yard, whilst two more will be joining the Foundation Course this summer. A fourth is taking part in work experience at a yard and will join the course next summer. Across all our programmes, 73% of students on average come from a diverse ethnic background, far outstripping the 2/3% of licensed jockeys. To date, 64% of Scholarship students from both the 2021/22 and 2022/23 cohorts have gone onto work in the industry, complete the Foundation Course or undertake work experience in the sport.
