- Zach and Jesse are back for the first episode of 2025. The guys discuss the College Football Playoff with a bit of a Wisconsin angle, then jump into the player Jesse believes could be the most interesting transfer -- safety Matt Jung. They close with some talk about the toughest position on offense to project a depth chart for.

Wow! Just living out every D3 players dream. Unreal! Imagine turning on your phone after an exam and seeing all these D1 programs reaching out.
Happy New Year guys! As a decades long Badgers fan and given the current state of college football, your Matt Jung story is beyond great to see. It does matter to us out here to have kids like him in the program!
Happy New Year! What happend with the QB coach? I like the additions made thus far from the portal. As U stated, we need those DB's. Thank you for 2024.
College football players have the attitude that if they're not playing, they're not staying.
The playoff seeding needs a lot of work. Oregon gets “rewarded” for going 13-0 and winning the Big 10 by having to play Ohio State while Penn State loses the Big 10 championship game and has a cakewalk draw. People might claim the bye is worth it but it sure as hell didn’t look worth it for Oregon when you compare to Penn St. Hopefully it changes next year
I hope I am wrong on this and they do have a balanced offense between run and pass which is really needed in this day and age of football but do people really think they are going to throw the ball that much? For that reason I am not as worried about who is going to be playing wide receiver as others are. I fear they are going back to the days of run heavy offense and that will make it harder to recruit top flight QB's and WR's if the majority of the time you handing the ball to a running back. Hope I am wrong but the big offseason story for me is what is Jeff Grimes offense going to look like? We have a talented TE now via the transfer portal and some young TE's with loads of potential so I do hope they throw the ball and run a diversified and balanced offense.
Zach, Don't take that shot back. It was a legit comment. And don't change.
The other WR will either be Hilton jr, Hamper, or Griffin Jr.
can run Koziol in the slot or Tight End. Good luck to Defenses trying to defend a formation that has: Anthony and Ballard on the boundaries and Koziol and Trech in the slots.
@@CraigFissel Heck, I forgot about Ballard. I guess there will be 5 men competing for the two (1st string) boundary spots.
didn't discuss new coach(s)
Hand up. Should have talked about Cooper for sure. Will touch on it next time. What other coach should have been talked about?
@@TheCamp_podcast Was a rumor about a QB coach. Haven't heard anything further, so assuming false, but curious what you guys know.
There should be no more than 8 teams in the playoffs. No byes, no home games, all neutral sites.
This is going to drag on too long also.
And who ever did the seeding must have been drunk totally absurd.
The home games are far better than neutral sites. What makes college great are the home atmospheres. There should be 2 rounds of home games in the current 12 game format. Ridiculous that the top 4 seeds don't get a home game. Agreed on 8 teams though. 8 would have been perfect.
