That's the thing with comics. When you have a bunch of different writers and artists doing a lot of different things with a 40+ year old character, things are bound to change a little through the years.
Awesome! Big Colossus fan. As a fan i wish he was a tad big stronger. But strong enough to fight Juggernaut or Hulk. Not necessarily go toe to toe but was the better fighter. In terms of strength, yeah hes up there but that would only last so long against those 2. So for him to really have a chance, he'd have to be the smarter fighter.
What the Image trading card fails to mention is that when Peter transforms into his metal form (Colossus) his overall size increases (his height by 1 foot). So he is 7'7" tall in armored form.
This piece received strong criticism on the anatomy of his upper torso and his pose. They say he has man boobs and stomach area is flubby. The way he leans to his left is highly unusual for a person to have such posture if he is stepping on a huge metal ball with one foot. I have seen all the videos regarding this piece and I really tried hard to see if there is a merit to such criticisms. I found nothing. I am not an expert regarding anatomy but I see nothing wrong with his upper torso. You obviously lift weights. Any opinion regarding the issues thrown on this piece?
Hey Ethan, people can criticize anatomy to no end when it comes to comic statues. Since they are supposed to be "larger than life", you kind of have to put blinders on when it comes to realism. When I look at a piece, I try to first focus on overall proportions and if something screams of being awkward. I didn't see any of that with Colossus. His proportions are very balanced if you think in a bodybuilder's mindset. While his chest is very big, it's definitely something achievable by someone with PDAs and good muscle building genetics. The pose, while not super dynamic, is definitely something I can see a person doing naturally. For me, definitely a thumbs up!
I was thinking what would've made a cool exclusive feature would've been Colossus holding in his right hand a ripped off Sentinel thumb with wires hanging out and have the wires as a light up feature instead of Lockheed as the exclusive feature.
