- Today we take a look at XM Studios Cyclops statue and try and put an end to the debate of which is the best licensed 1/4 Cyclops, XM Studios vs. Sideshow Collectibles (Sideshow Cyclops Review: • CYCLOPS OPTIC BLAST - ... )! There has been much debate on which of these Cyclops statues is better, so we're taking a close look at some of the details (or lack of detail for that matter) of these two pieces to see which one comes out on top. But don't just take my word for it, the whole family chimes in to give us their picks as well!

Recognized as a leader of the X-Men, Cyclops is immortalized in amazingly detailed 1:4 scale cold-cast porcelain. I got version B of Cyclops from XM coming next week and I’m so excited that it’s going in my collection!
I'm glad you did this video. This helps me big-time because I'm trying to decide on this topic myself. Cyclops is my personal favorite hero. First I have to say that intro was priceless (beautiful family). When I first started dating my wife, I had a Batman Shirt on and she complimented me on the nice "Spider-Man" shirt ;) At first I didn't like the Sideshow Cyclops but after seeing these in-hand reviews, it's pretty good. I strongly prefer the XM version because I like the modern elements and further textures. It goes better with the Sideshow Wolverine in my books. I am in the process of trying to get the XM Cyclops (My first XM Statue). Hoping it works out since its from a vendor I never purchased from. My question is how does the Torso/Head Position look on Torso A? Personally I see no problems but I wasn't sure if he was looking in a different direction. I was literally laughing at the lesson you gave your daughter. I'm expecting my first in August.
Congrats on many levels! Who are you getting your Cyclops from? I've had a great experience with Cosmic Chase. Looks like he still has some in stock bit.ly/cosmicchase As far as head position on ver. A, I think it looks fine. He is slightly looking to the left. But looks completely natural. Much prefer this pose to the SS as that one appears to be a little too hunched over.

Such a close one for me but I think I prefer the sideshow piece, much more faithful to the source material. And I prefer the sideshow portraits.
I wish you could combine them into one statue; give me the hand to the visor, the light up and a little bit of texture added to the sideshow piece and it would be near perfect.
You can't go wrong with either though!
