    The Steiner Brothers are an all time great tag team, cannot agree enough. I'm glad that Scott is getting some dues too. Not much was good about WCW post-1999 but Big Poppa Pump was one of them.

      Shad getting the Warrior award is also a top choice, in my opinion. Sharmell is not really a big name, but overall it's indeed a great class. Taker alone makes it one of the very best..

    Steiners vs Muta and Sting in Japan is still one of the best tag matches I've ever seen. If you haven't seen it, I strongly recommend checking it out on WCW/New Japan Supershow 2.

Antonio Inoki and New Japan wanted Williams and Gordy to challenge the Steiners for the IWGP Tag Team Championship in New Japan Pro Wrestling....not just work with the Steiners in WCW.....but Gordy and Williams would not work opposition to Giant Baba and All Japan because their loyalty lied with Baba.

    The Steiners are simply one of the greatest tag teams that tag teams today should study. Scott Steiner in his youth was almost peerless in terms of in-ring skills. The way he backflipped with guys like Ron Simmons and Butch Reed in his arms was just breathtaking. The Frankensteiner and the Steiner Screwdriver are still a sight to behold.

      I remember when they created, and started using, the Frankensteiner. It was a move like no other.
      I also think it’s interesting to note the complete metamorphosis that Scott Steiner completed in transforming from the babyface in The Varsity Club, to Big Poppa Pump.

    All math jokes aside, The Steiner Brothers are one of the greatest pure wrestling teams ever and no one should be surprised the son/nephew picked up the business so quick.
    Plus it will be worth it if we get a Scott/Otis interaction.

    Two of the very few guys i liked every gimmick of because it fitted so perfect. Wether as the steiner bros in wwf or seperated as the DFG and big poppa pump - they were real, believable + extremely good wrestlers.
    Scotts transission in wcw is still my favorite. He was so different as the booty daddy and yet great af.

    Both brothers had great mentors when they started. Rick was my favorite. His Steinerline IS on my top 5 list of most devastating clotheslines in the business

    Poppa Pump was the NWO leader after Hogan & did well. He also owned TNA for awhile. We didn't know what we had. The tag team is up there with LoD, Demolition, Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs, etc. I can go on but I'll be here all day!

    The WWE Hall of Fame always has me rolling my eyes in general, both because of the ludicrous entrants in so many cases and because so far it doesn't physically exist. BUT any accolade or acknowledgement the Steiners get as a tag team is fine by me. They were amazing in their day. Good for them.

      @@justinmorton7693 Those Hall of Fame inductions started in 1993, friend. Let's go with your timeline; 34 years after they started inducting people into the Hall of Fame they're actually going to have a Hall of Fame.
      To compare, the first Baseball Hall of Fame inductions happened in 1936 and the actual Hall was opened in 1939.
      The first inductees to the Pro Football Hall of Fame came in 1963. The actual Hall was also opened in 1963.
      I'm getting more inconsistent dates on the Hockey Hall of Fame and their first class of inductees, but it looks like at most was there was a two year gap.
      I've lost interest in further HoF digging, so feel free to tell me about a longer gap than 34 years between first class and actual building construction, but I'm gonna go right on rolling my eyes at Vince I think.

    Scott Steiner wisely said once upon a time :
    "I am not going into the WWE Hall of Fame. I am not going somewhere where there's nowhere to go. Where's it at? I am not going somewhere where if I get into some trouble, I cannot call 911.
    I cannot have a beacon call to the coast guard, because who knows? It could be in Atlantis for all I know.
    It could be underwater, it could be in parts unknown ... I am not going there, it's a joke, it's non existent.
    It would be better to put the WWE Hall of Fame on the Moon, at least then you can look up at the Moon at night and say - Wow! Look at the WWE Hall of Fame!!"

    This is great news. Well deserved. I’ve always been a fan of them. Scott’s speech is gonna be off the chain. Their tag stuff was great. But then they had their singles runs and Scott blew it out of the water. Not taking anything away from Rick at all.

    Watching their early stuff, especially their work in Japan, these guys a shoo in for the HoF, Scott doing the frankensteiner centre ring, jumping straight up off the mat was phenomenal.

      @@allamaraine8066 there was like a twenty minute montage on here of Steiner's in action, loads of stuff from Japan, I'm guessing it got took down for copyright reasons, 'welcome to the jungle' playing first lol, loads of frankensteiners with dead jumps, I couldn't believe how easily he did it given he was about 260lbs. And he suplexed Vader! I'm not sure but I think then and the Bulldogs bypassed one another, that would've been a match for the ages, two best tag teams to grace Japan.

      @@dubiouscaesar3709 I don’t think I’ve seen that specific video, but you’re right, they were fucking beasts! And I think I’ve seen the Vader match you’re talking about! You look at the stuff they would do, and you wonder how they didn’t hurt themselves or their opponents, and you realize - these dudes were just that STRONG, and they were just that GOOD. Genuinely don’t think we’ll ever see another team like them. Just straight monsters.
      It’s nice talking to people who can appreciate the quality stuff, man. Cheers.

    One of my favorite tag teams ever. And I was lucky enough to have met them then both at a convention a few years back. Talked to Scott for awhile. Cool dude and seems to have mellowed out a bit.

    One of the best tag teams of all time. Definitely deserve to be in the HoF, despite how Scotty might've felt at one point. Maybe he calmed down after starting up a business. He doesn't look as juiced up anymore and seems a lot more level headed in his post-wrestling interviews.

    For the HoF, they should perform a skit where the Steiner Brothers try to get in, but Scott gets arrested and taken to jail, ala Goldberg in WCW. They can cut away at certain parts to where Scott is trying to explain to the cops he was invited lol

    Rick was always super over as a mid carder as a single. Even during late stage WCW he was the most over face mid carder on Nitro besides Rey Jr.

    I watched the Steiner Brothers when they were in WCW and remembered how intense their matches were but also how they told a story of a tag team wanting to get to the highest levels in the company only to get screwed by the heel team or the heel management. Watch some of their stuff with the four horsemen if you don't believe me!

    I'm glad that the Steiners were inducted. Definitely deserved it. I will say I always preferred the late 1980s-early 1990s version. They looked strong as hell but they didn't look huge like Scott did from the late 1990's on. Like Jim was saying, they were probably the most versatile tag team in terms on wrestling style because they could do the power moves but also had the technical background as well, not to mention when Scott would do the Frankensteiner, it was incredible to see
