Thanks, man! This helped me a lot. I appreciated your comments too because you were saying what I was thinking, so felt a lot more confident that I was doing it right.
I just ordered one new with free shipping for $111. I never owned a telescope before but I wanted a cheap one to try out for fun. It seemed like a good deal compared to what this telescope usually goes for so I just bought it on impulse.
one of the first steps is to install the accessory tray, says it just "spins counterclockwise" is there supposed to be a nut behind it? mine doesnt catch onto anything, and it looks like your video skips that part
I bought a used Celestron 127EQ, After watching your video, I decided to put my Celestron 127eq together. As I went through the process of assembling the unit, I found out that there was a missing part, I found out the missing part was the latitude adjustment screw. By the way, by watching you, I learned the name of the item that was missing; thank you for that. Do you know where I can purchase the missing part? I appreciate it if you know where I could get it.
Thank you for taking the time to help big companies should take pride in there shipping and make sure people that spend almost 200.00 hard earned money should be happy not stress to find parts exc
I just had the telescope put on it's holder in the wrong place 😅 thanks for this man. I did everything right by myself and I'm a noob. First telescope and I was pushing my knowledge as a noob, anyways I'm proud of myself because I seen the moon and Jupiter/ it's moons already 😄😁
Hello! Thanks a lot for this video, do you know if the weights are necessary? I just received my brand new telescope off Amazon. It did not come with the weights. I’m not sure if I need to buy more or something, thanks!
Thanks for this. Did you buy any alternative eyepieces? As I have heard the ones that come with it are rubbish - and also that the finderscope is rubbish too. Thanks.
Who did you buy it from? Did you buy it directly from Celestron and buy the exact same model? Or did you buy a different model? Also, did you buy it from a shady dealer?
HELP PLEASE FELLOW ASTRONOMERS! I've never owned a telescope and I recently got the Celestron Powerfinder 76AZ for my birthday, it looks similar to this but it's smaller. When I was setting it up and I was going to insert the eyepiece (the 20mm one) I took off the cap (Just like 8:13 ) and two pieces of glass and a small plastic ring fell out. I assume this wasn't supposed to happen? Should I take it back? Can I get a replacement eyepiece? Help
Hello! This happened to me too, if I am correct, the eyepiece fell apart, the plastic ring (if it was rubbery) is part of the eyepiece. You can put it back my placing it around the top of the eyepiece if that makes sense. No worries, it will be fine as long as you are gentle when talk off the cap of the eyepiece.
I just bought this and set it up. I tried using it and whatever planet or anything I find. that I line dead on in the cross hair of the finderscope. I see absolutely nothing through my eyepieces.
Juan Francisco Góngora Gómez all I know is I installed everything just as the directions stated. What process needs to be done to align the finderscope? it mounts to one location and fastens.
J bear you need to find an object in the distance, preferably at daytime, like a tree or a streetlamp, try to center said object with the telescope, then look through the finderscope and center the same object with its crosshair.
Hello, Thank you for your interesting video. However, I would like to connect my Canon SX400 IS with a Celetron powerseeker Telescope, is it possible ? How ? Thank you
You need to buy the T-Ring and T-Ring adapter specifically made for the Canon camera body. Do not buy a "universal" one. They are usually pretty cheap. You should be able to get both for under $20.
Should i go for this telescope or astromaster 114eq....i heard bad reviews about the powerseeker 127eq like blurry images, difficulties in aligning, bad optics quality...can we even see saturn rings or jupiter moons clearly though 127eq??and if not then suggest me a better telescope that can see the objects i mentioned above....my budget is around 250 bucks
Thank you forn posting this. My telescope had a quick set up guide only and was missing a few steps.
I just ordered my Celestron 127mm EQ. This is a great video. I will watch this again when I get mine and put it together. Thanks.
+Benny Baughman cool! My full review of this telescope is going up soon.
This video was so helpful! Much better than the other video I found, my telescope was missing the instructions and the software
Thanks, man! This helped me a lot. I appreciated your comments too because you were saying what I was thinking, so felt a lot more confident that I was doing it right.
🎉 Thank you! It would have taken me days without this video!!
After 5 years still auseful. Thanks Buddy 😊
You were better than the actual set up guide
Thanks!

just built mine and your video helped me so much. thank youuuu
Thank you so much for posting this video. This helped me a lot!
I ended up exchanging my refractor for this one. Can you do a video on how to collimate the mirrors?
You have to remove the lens in the focusertube
Also is this telescope easy to collapse and put away when you have finished with it? or do you have to keep it fully built?
Thanks for the video. I was able to assemble it. I can locate the moon through the finderscope but don't see anything in the eyepiece.

I'm debating to exchange my 90mm refractor telescope for this. Should I do it?
DEFINITELY *YES*

Is it very heavy? Are you able to carry it around all by yourself or do you need someone to help you with it?
Good job. I can see the moon in the finderscope but don't see anything in the eyepiece. Any suggestions What I might be missing ?
Thank you for posting this!!!
Thanks for watching!

That wasn't supposed to happen, and yes, you can buy other eyepieces if the rest of the telescope is fine, that's all you need to make it work again.
I GOT THE SAME PROBLEM, GOSH, AND NOW I DONT KNOW HOW TO PUT IT BACK

Is it possible to see galaxies, nebulae and some comets with this telescope? Someone can answer me?
Only a few, you can see a couple bright nebulaes but only if there is no light pollution, the same goes for galaxies. Idk about comets though.
hello is this telescope any good plz let me know ASAP
Yes it is
My tray doesn’t look like that AT ALL! 😔
how much was it
About $160
More than this telescope , Celestron powerseeker 50 az is the best one with low rate and high quality
My gray doesn’t look like that AT ALL!
I just bought this and set it up. I tried using it and whatever planet or anything I find. that I line dead on in the cross hair of the finderscope. I see absolutely nothing through my eyepieces.
J bear did you align the finderscope with the telescope?
Juan Francisco Góngora Gómez all I know is I installed everything just as the directions stated. What process needs to be done to align the finderscope? it mounts to one location and fastens.
J bear you need to find an object in the distance, preferably at daytime, like a tree or a streetlamp, try to center said object with the telescope, then look through the finderscope and center the same object with its crosshair.
J bear you can refine the alignment at night by finding a star and aligning both scopes more finely
Juan Francisco Góngora Gómez sounds simple enough to do. thanks for replying with how to do it! much appreciated!
Well I've fucked that up

Cyber 11 so far I have heard great reviews about this telescope
My telescope is missing a mounting screw I think
Never mind I had it upside down lol
Watched this like 3 times going he never mentions what this little metal piece is for. Finally I see the end lol thanks for the tutorial though !
