They could provide a free download. There are countless 'edits' or unofficial remixes of popular songs that are available for download (e.g. Sylow remixes), but I think it's because larger artists use them as a 'secret weapon' during their sets. I don't agree with it as it prevents the rest of the community from incorporating these tracks into their mixes
