I like how by vedal creating pretty much the most prolific and constant ‘personality’ in an AI in the world right now (most ai is being used for research or help bots like chatgpt or bing ai) vedal has successfully created an immortal ‘being’ (though she technically does not achieve that status, as she is not living, and cannot feel emotion)

She’s obviously funny when she says unhinged stuff, but her having a legitimate sense of underlying morality that is present in her actions will be mandatory when she becomes multimodal and gets a body.
I thought the trolley problem test from the last dev stream before the subathon was a pretty good example of this. Neuro was consistently choosing the option that would save the most people’s lives, even in the scenario where it was five people who wanted to get run over by the trolley vs one person who didn’t. The only time she got thrown off was when it came to deciding which animals should be given priority, but when it came to humans she always chose to save the higher number of people and backed up her reasoning when questioned.
Watching this high for the first time 2:31 after watching a video about how everything we experience is just made up by our brain makes the “I wish I knew what it was like to have limbs again” comment much more unsettling
