- Well it’s long overdue, but finally the wait is over! Alan Blair is back and he has been a busy boy since we last followed him down to Bristol in search of urban carp. In Urban Banx 7.5, we find out what Alan has been up to over the past few months and some of the weird, wonderful but always watery places he has been fishing. With unbowed enthusiasm, and no small measure of skill he goes about making the most of any available time to explore the urban waterways he loves the most, both here and across the channel.
As a bonus feature, we also catch up with Alfie Russell as he tries his luck on a new park lake. What does it hold? The fun is finding out!

Brilliant once again. Alan proves that you don't need to be in a bivvy for days on end and piling in kilos of bait to catch fish. It would be good to see a couple of sessions between Nash/Blair v Fairbrass/Penning. Bob
yet another amazing video, and that's albert park at 6:00 some right stunners has come out of that lake and planning to fish it this winter as it's only a 2 hour roadtrip. Can't wait for the new EuroTour getting all exited haha!!

fished queens park for 30 years it a good place,but chritmas 2015 the river broke its banks and flooded the lake and has made it hard now,but the carp are still there waiting fella come back and do a full sesh,by the way just come back from there myself this evening

met you once in Calais terminal, id been doing some courier work over to milan and fished the Po whilst there, you mentioned the seone in lyon, so obviously had to take the detour on the way home haha......caught my first ever catfish and something else pulled me round the river then snapped me, quality little place it was on a little boat jetty facing some nice big French buildings

Tell Alan Blair he is a great guy I'm a 14 year old who was inspired by him about 2 years ago 4 weeks alfter I went to the shop bourght some basic tackle as I didn't have much money, well to my surprise I went to swangey lakes witch has a nice stock of catty so and carp I had a peach of a mirror which was 28lb and from that day I haven't stopped fishing I would love for you to come to norwich where I live so I can come learn some tactics 😀😜

Iv been to that Queen’s Park a few times this year when it’s been really hot it was pretty weedy, seen 2 commons of good sizes and a few bream, all the times I went when it was hot I could always find the same 2 commons and the bream, given the rest of the fish could’ve been further out in the weed but it didn’t look great tbh.

Thinking of getting a pair and cutting down on the gear we carry around as got 2 knackered knees so lighter gear to carry around would be fantastic. Are the reels your using the daiwa SS2600, would these rods be ok with my shimano x aero 4000’s

Have you looked at St Katherines Docks and The Shadwell Basin in East London? There are a lot of decent carp in those places but nobody seems to have any good vids about them....

The lake under spaghetti junction is Salford park. Used to be a lot of nice fish in there. I grew around there and fished it as a kid. Not sure what's in there now. If you intend to fish it beware at night. Lots of scumbags around
