My first build is always balanced. It gives me time to have a player that can do it all until we find the meta

@@fazio-blockz1889yeah I do this aswell I don’t really care about the meta just play what I find fun and want to play. You just gotta remember that every build is viable as long as you just play your roll.

I play a lot of center builds, if you can’t shoot, you are going to have a difficult time. Even if you have a 99 standing dunk, you got to be the right spot, everytime to get it, and the guys who like to drive will just complain that you need to get out of paint. I think the Shaq builds can work, but you have to be on a pro am team with people that you play with all the time, so you know what they are doing, they know what you’re doing.
my solo rec inside center averages a triple double and i probably have over 1k games on him LMAO
Then being an inside big that don't know how to set screens and also having a guard that can't play off screens is problematic as well

@@beluga2342 not rude but amytime i see a inside say they avg triple double i know 9 times out of 10 they clog up thw offense and keep others from doing they job. They clogging up the paint preventig back doors and pg drives, rebs i can live with but the assist is just sad to say easy leak out which if playing against good people that hurta more then it helps not letting the PG run a proper break. Now i admit this is coming from a comp leauge player, i know it works in random Rec. Just when that playstyle goes against comp it doesnt work..
@@dewanewelch1744just set some on ball / off ball screens… it’s not that hard to flow within the offense as an inside big. Pair that with the knowledge on how to abuse the dead zone under the basket and it leads to 20+ boards a game lmfao which is absolutely killer for both sides of the floor
I think for main ball handlers and bigs being a balanced archetype is better just so you have other aspects of your game to set up easier looks for yourself. Maybe 1-2 stats in the 90s with everything else being 80ish super difficult to guard.

I feel like ever year pure archetypes are better for solo games or depending on your team but I tried the balanced archetypes it just wasn't for me

It’s going to be pure specialist by season 2. Maximized pure lock 6’7 wings with 99 steal and some 3 ball surrounding a small pure offensive guard and maybe a shooting glass lock.
All around builds just won’t be able to compete with someone with maximized stats. Like an 85P defense isn’t stopping the small 99 ball handle and 99 3 ball curry build.
Yea that’s why the people who has the best shooter sit on corners to minimize the contest
*I would say it depends because if you are in a team that has all balanced players but you are going up against a team full of high rated defenders, the pure player may be the only one able to offset the high rated defenders and overpower their badges*

if you are a guard, make sure you are extremely explosive and can score at every level. This is what's going to open up your game and make your defenders guess.
You gotta be able to shoot 3s, stepback spinshot, post fade, finish inside and you can't do any of these if you aren't quick enough to beat your defender off the dribble.
I always made balanced builds. Don't need a 99 three or middy if my shots are wide open 90% of the time.
I like balanced ones I hate being a liability at anything so I need a little bit of everything even if im not great at anything and in 2k24 you could not get that

I feel for me I figured it out for centers late in the year for 2k in general. But it’s hard to make a center for me personally because what I want could be different from what my friends are. It’s a tough situation for me and when I get 2k, idk where I would start
I feel you on that what I do is I’ll have all my friends I hoop with an we all talk about it together maybe that a solution for you
@@_Quan oh normally we do that. But it’s just odd that some of the guys eventually change or don’t change as their build or it’s just the play style. I’m just trying to find or make a center that can basically cover every play style from my friends whatever they bring out

Balanced is better for first build, allows you to learn the gameplay easier

The big difference is can you dunk on guards standing under basket. If I have 90 dunk I better be able to dunk on 6’2s as a pure slasher
Just don’t go 99 so you can use cap breakers later and round your build out
Wouldn’t you want it at 99?so you can use your cap breaker on something else

Every 2k since 16 I'll switch between a pure paint post and a pick and popper post fade always 7 foot to 7.3...i personally like the pure I mean I could shoot 3s but not everytime and if I was going to post fade I'd get the same two points just for mashing which was alot easier the only down side to a pure post was the drop step steal ball shit which wouldn't happen if I post fade
It's always the same, it depends on your team mates, the real change will be the legend badges... or not
I hate when people dont specialize in rec because no matter which build im on, the position i switched from gets worse. I can be on my pf and sometimes im the center at 6'9 or i have teammates who all run the dame build and so our pg isnt even a true pg and then we wonder why passing sucks. Then i get on my 2 way pg to facilitate and defend but i get teammates who all have the same build and i cant tell who can do what because they inconsistent

I would say it should be a 70 / 30 Blend. The build should be mostly (70%) balanced but with key (30%) Pure aspects.
Another way of saying this is, push one or two attributes to elite levels and keep the rest balanced.
Keep in mind you get cap breakers and badge +1's throghout the year so your build will get increasingly more elite in other categories.
Laker I'm gonna build that nasty 6'10" SF with high rebounding first. I loved that build bro. Everyone I played against was like "how TF are you able to get more rebounds that the Center and the PF?" And then the crazy put backs and driving dunks bro I loved that build. Such a crazy mismatch at the SF. And if I'm able to make it with a reliable midrange shit this year bro it's gonna be over 🤣🤣🤣
I typically go for a balanced build to start but I might go a little more pure build, looking like barbecue chicken in that paint this year!!!
B4 we know the gameplay the stats don’t rly mean anything (layup dunk). 81 layup looks pretty good. But if there’s no animations it can get that get good scoops or floats then it’s almost useless. Same with dunking. If 75dunk can’t unlock any quick effective anis then might as well be 25.
7:24 I couldn’t get lane steals on my 6’5 build in 2k24…so I don’t see how it would be possible on a 5’9 in 2k25. The ball will always be outta your reach.

on the pg i would go 96 3pt shot and put those extra points towards perimiter defence so with cap breakers i can get 99 3pt shot and HOF Defencive badges
Man I’m going for more pure builds this time, them all around builds are good but then when somebody can stop you, your build is just non existent but if your a pure build I feel you can dominate in that area efficiently
A pure rebounding or a pure post is going to kill these balance builds
Everyone just gonna use a 6'6 - 6'10 do it all build like always and gonna make online boring. Everyone makes do it all builds then online gets boring after a few months cuz every1 on the same build. specialist builds get shafted in the builder.
I made pretty much only specialist builds in 24 and did good so idk , sounds like skill issue
I feel like for me I play like an inside C but learned early on you have to be able to shoot in this game u can’t be one dimensional
Pure works better for me cuz my role with my group. I like getting boards passing and blocking shots. I get O boards and get dunks and get my points that way. Works well for my game and my team. Think it just depends person to person

I'll tell y'all what they are gatekeeping. 7' will be the better than 7'1 this year. More attributes because it's a smaller build. Also going to be faster while not sacrificing strength. He is a much better at 2k than me. So maybe I'm being paranoid.

Balanced. I don't think the guard one is even debatable either. If you need driving dunk that bad just get good and learn to lay the ball up. You lose virtually nothing on the left and gain a max defense for your size lol bruh, no brainer
Plus what is 75 driving dunk go to do with rotations anyway and youre going up on a center. 25 vs 75 won't matter. I would've kept perim D at 85 because let's be honest you're not getting cut off animations and shit anyway. Then you get intD and strength and board points back and put that into agility and layup.

Why did you put high on PC and CS, and yet you only have 83 strength? It doesn't make sense. If you want the Embiid build, then take off those mentioned above and add it to other attributes.

BALANCED/PURE🔥 I think sacrificing 75 dunk is definitely worth it in that scenario that’s a crazy amount of defence gained. Do you know if removing dunk compeltlty for most heights gave a huge boost like shown?
