    Awesome video and I don't even have an Audi that needs it. I have a US spec 09 CC vr6 4motion and has Auto Hold.

    Great video thanks for doing this!. My girlfriend has a T-ROC with this and I had to have it on my B8.5. Followed your video step by step and I believe I bought the same wiring kit as you. What I will say and for anyone buying this wiring is the pins for the ABS unit & fuse box are completely wrong (at least for the 8.5). I spent hours trying to get them to stay in so bought the correct part which clipped straight into the plug and works flawlessly. I also managed to get the genuine switch for £12.50 off a breaker 😏

    nice job! One work-around with the LHD switch that you could have done is to swap the position of the switch with the coin holder, so you'd have the switches just above the start stop button, like on a LHD car, not the proper proper way to do it but hey... :D oh and I guess you would need a LHD coin holder then... still not ideal

    • @fun2drive
      @fun2drive  Год назад +1

      cheers mate, yes, I did actually think about that, but, as you say, you would need a LHD coin holder, and also you would be reaching over/around the gear lever each time to turn it on.....

    • @fun2drive
      @fun2drive  Год назад +2

      I thought I had done in the video, but it appears I didn't! It was on the instructions that came with the cable, you connect pin 12 of switch with pin 8 of abs pump and pin 10 of switch with pin 16 of abs pump

    Hi, is the hill hold assist included in the a3 1.6 s line sportback or isit a optional extra. if not, can I have it fitted directly through audi and if so do you know roughly how much the cost would be.. Cheers..

    Hi pal. The pins you shoved into the back of the ABS plug, did they end up holding in? Or did you have to readdress it?

      @@fun2drive wow that’s ace. On yours, on the actual holes for the wires on the abs plug did you have little rubber blanks in each wire hole that stopped you pushing it straight in? Doing mine currently and every hole on the back of the connector that doesn’t have a wire in already has a little what looks to be rubber blank in to stop water ingress.

    My audi a5 has start/stop function, do you know if it's possible both to work together if i retrofit autohold?

    • @fun2drive
      @fun2drive  Год назад

      I would say so, as the hill hold just works with the ABS and nothing to do with the engine

    • @ivanpetkov11
      @ivanpetkov11 Год назад

      @@fun2drive Well, when you stop and hold the brake pedal down the engine turns off and letting go of the brake turns it back again, so yes they would work together but it wouldn't be effective because to keep the engine off you need to always keep hold of the brake. Thank you for the response though

    Did you use a rubber seal to feed the wire through before plugging it in the abs? Does the kit in the link has such a seal?

    • @fun2drive
      @fun2drive  10 месяцев назад +1

      Kit has no seal, I put in a small seal that I had from another connector

      @@fun2drive Cheers! In case that I cannot wait 1 month for the delivery of those cabeles, can I just buy 3 auto cables and install the specific wire heads separately? I bet that the wire is just a refular auto 0.5mm wire and not somrthing very specific, what do you think?

    • @fun2drive
